Historia
Trinity Morris, cofounder of You're Not Alone, has a domestic violence past that still haunts her 10 years later. She is devoted to helping victims find freedom and to sharing information on how to help them through their emotional and violent trials. While Trinity is presenting at a seminar, she comes across Gavin, a police officer who knows her past all too well. It's been 10 years since he last saw her, but the moment Gavin's eyes land on her, he's intent on getting to know the woman who has haunted his dreams all these years.

If you could sum up You're Not Alone in three words, what would they be?
Very intense book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Trinity was my favorite character because she showed such inner strength.
What about Maria Marquis’s performance did you like?
Her smooth voice and inflection fit the story so well.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I did not want to take a break in listening.
Any additional comments?
After experiencing domestic violence first hand, Trinity and her friend Brooke form a non-profit organization named You're Not Alone. Part of Trinity's position includes putting on seminars and this is still very difficult for her because it brings up bad memories. I found the seminar scenes very attention grabbing and they added a lot to the story. At one of the seminars, Trinity sees a man who looks very familiar to her and he brings back a painful time in her life. Meanwhile, she is back to work at the non-profit when she receives word that there has been considerable water damage to one of the apartments they fund and manage. Gavin who has just stopped in offers the help from himself and a contractor friend. Gavin is a police officer that was in attendance at one of her seminars. Gavin is very careful not to do anything Trinity may perceive as threatening or pressure her in any way. Can he be the one to help her love and trust again? This book really sheds light on how it must be to be a victim of domestic violence and how difficult it must be to recover and try to live a normal life again. A very powerful book that will hold your attention and be hard to put down.

Historia
Art teacher Daniel Benedetto has cystic fibrosis. At thirty-four, he's already outlived his doctor's "expiration date," but that doesn't stop him from giving all he can to his students and his work. When he takes on Caitlin, his landlady's daughter, as a private student, the budding teen painter watches in torment as other people, especially women, treat Daniel like a freak because of his condition. To Caitlin, Daniel is not a disease, not someone to pity or take care of but someone to care for, a friend, and her first real crush.

I Loved It
Revisado: 07-21-15
Who was your favorite character and why?
Caitlin- She felt things so deeply for a teenager
What does Randi Larson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Very believable for the part of a teenage girl
If you could take any character from Drawing Breath out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Daniel because he made sure he did what made him happy in the time he had left
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed the storyline because I think as teenage girls we all formed an attachment to an older male. But Caitlin's attachment was more than that, she truly loved Daniel and it showed in the telling of the story.

Historia
During a New Orleans Mardi Gras Ball, psychic entertainer Diana Racine touches the hand of a masked Cyrano de Bergerac and is instantly transported into the icy-cold body of a dead woman submerged in water. As Diana crumples to the floor, water filling her lungs, she hears Cyrano whisper that the game has begun. Diana has been called every epithet in the book: charlatan, cheat, publicity hound...and genius - all at least partially true. But convincing New Orleans police lieutenant Ernie Lucier that her vision of the dead woman is the real thing may be her hardest act yet.

Any additional comments?
This book features Diana Racine a psychic that helped track down murderers as a child but when it became too much she told her parents she lost her powers. She became a sensation as a performing psychic but her inner circle believed she was getting feed information by her spies without doing actual readings. She begins to be stalked by a man she was responsible for putting behind bars years earlier. As the cops try to figure out who is terrorizing her she finds herself falling in love with one of them.
