This production was an excellent review of Michael Jackson’s life, in the context of all the various controversies which haunted him. The presenters maintained a rare, extremely high-level of integrity about objective journalism. The depth and breath of information was extremely interesting and informative. This is a must listen for folks who care about Michael Jackson’s art and music, and also who wish to review the matter in hindsight and revisit, those decades of American culture which Michael played such a great part in shaping.

Despite valiant, dedicated effort, I am afraid that the reader for Chernow’s Washington added heaping levels of melodrama to the tone of the text which was quite a distraction from the important historical elements. Chernow was consigned I am sure by the very nature of resources available from so many centuries ago to numerous speculations about what Washington might have thought or might have felt, and I would say this detracted a bit from his usual level of spellbinding treatments of important history. All together an important read.

The streetsmart tones and rough cadence of Mr. Whelan’s reading, could not be more perfect for this subject. Mr. Kennedy came up from the streets and clearly a man who understands what that means. He knows how to honorably and honestly treat the facts and the possible interpretations. This book is a must read for those who want to get between the various artfully, hidden layers of history, both within the Kennedy family, and within the eras that they sow mightily affected.

With the benefit of recent information, respect for authors who came before and a balanced approach, Barrel does a splendid job of laying there the many essential elements of Nixon’s life and his impact on the 20th century and the presidents who came after him. This is definitely a valuable read and the performance was very agreeable.

This book is an essential story. With powerful, beautiful and painful language, Whitehead claps the reader s attention into chains. I was compelled to feel this ugly, integral chapter in the "American imperative" like never before. It should be required reading.

The story of Mr. Churchhill's life is exquisitely interesting and important. Manchester is the genius, and the reader, Mr. Davidson, is perhaps the best of all the readers I have ever listen to. She is in especially adept presenter of The meaning between the lines and his ability to do the different voices is spectacular!

The fierce honesty of Rick Atkinson's books taught me to honor and respect the people of this Great War. More importantly to me, they revered the honor and integrity of my father in beautiful, painful, forthright prose.
