Historia
Examining murder from an insider’s perspective, Matt Murphy—a former senior deputy district attorney and current ABC News legal analyst—discusses cases from his career, how they strained his personal life, and how he found peace seeking justice for victims and their families. Part taxonomy of murder, part prosecutor’s handbook, and part personal memoir, The Book of Murder goes through a dozen cases and his recollections of his 26 years in the Orange County DA’s office (17 in the Homicide Unit).

Big part of his job is to write captivating content, easy to understand and telling a great story. I mean that in a very positive way. Great listen.

Historia
Raised in the wilderness by her late great-uncle, Vida is a young woman with an almost preternatural affinity for nature, especially for the wolves that also call the forested mountains home. Formed by hard experience, by love and loss, and by the prophecies of a fortuneteller, Vida just wants peace. If only nearby Kettleton County didn’t cast such a dark shadow.

Historia
Did you know that most of our dinosaur fossils were discovered because two grown men absolutely hated each other? It’s true! Rivals! Frenemies Who Changed the World is a riotous audio exclusive, like if Monty Python taught your history class. Each volume of four 30-minute histories will dig into the petty name-calling and grumbling grudges that led to many of the world’s greatest advancements, all delivered with a cheeky sense of humor. Choose sides: Cope or Marsh, the jerks who discovered so many dinosaurs; Hamilton or Burr, whose rivalry fueled American politics; and many more....

Narrator and author did a fantastic job telling a great story and providing a lot of history. It inspired me to learn more about the “characters”.

Historia
An underwater exploration that overturns myths about fishes and reveals their complex lives, from tool use to social behavior. There are more than 30,000 species of fish - more than all mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians combined. But for all their breathtaking diversity and beauty, we rarely consider how fish think, feel, and behave.

Wonderfully put together.
Author makes very convenient arguments with studies to back it up
Doesn’t read like a dry, clinical research paper
Author does a fantastic job with delivery.
Going to have my daughter, a frequent fisherman, to read with a warning: “You may not be as enthusiastic about fishing after listening to this book”.

Just wonderful - small spoiler alert
Revisado: 09-21-18
This was an exceptionally delightful short story. Sharon brought you into a young girl’s world with the questions she asked and how she saw the world. It was also real, discussing alcoholism, and the toll it can take on a family.
I also loved the manner of speech she used for the people in her life.
It was just fun to listen to. Thank you.

For over 30 years, Kim DeLozier acted as a referee in the wild, trying to protect millions of park visitors from one of the densest populations of wild black bears in America - and the bears from tourists who get too close.

Felt Real
Revisado: 07-02-16
What made the experience of listening to Bear in the Back Seat the most enjoyable?
Listening to this felt like you were sitting around a campfire, listening to an ole timer forest ranger tell stories. Funny and entertaining
Have you listened to any of Carey Jones’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. Good. Sounds like an old country boy.
Any additional comments?
Author makes it clear that: "A fed bear is a dead bear". He says it many times, and it was almost annoying, but he provides good reasons to NOT feed the wildlife. He sounds like a person who loved his job, and loved the animals. Somebody you'd enjoy talking to.
