I love the characters
Revisado: 03-08-25
The accuracy about quilting and the process is spot on. Because I quilt, I become involved in the story and I don't want to put the book down I love this series.

Historia
Britt-Marie can't stand mess. She eats dinner at precisely the right time and starts her day at six in the morning because only lunatics wake up later than that. And she is not passive-aggressive. Not in the least. It's just that sometimes people interpret her helpful suggestions as criticisms, which is certainly not her intention. But at 63, Britt-Marie has had enough. She finally walks out on her loveless 40-year marriage and finds a job in the only place she can: Borg, a small, derelict town devastated by the financial crisis.

Not horrible but a little unimaginative and humdrum. I yawned through the end, I have read Fredrik Backman and will read others.

Historia
Not only do Southerners talk slowly, but sometimes the whole language is hard to understand. No one realizes that more than Memphis belle Leelee Satterfield. Watching her tackle life and love in Vermont was only the tip of the iceberg when it came to antics, charades, mischief, and romance. Now that she’s back in Memphis, and starting a new relationship with Peter, the Yankee chef from her New England inn, you’d think she’d sit back and enjoy her newly crafted life back home in Dixie. But that just wouldn’t be as much fun.

Changing narrator was a big mistake
Revisado: 01-18-22
I sped up the narration just to get through this book. I enjoyed the first two books of this series but this was a bigoted, immature attempt to hurry through a promised third book. I wanted to find out what happened to these characters and it was a huge disappointment and a waste of time. I will not be looking for anything from this author and I am asking for a refund.

I want to find an Elm Creek lodge retrea
Revisado: 05-18-21
I want to find an Elm Creek lodge retreat, with classes taught by the beautiful women in these stories. I've read (listened) to all 18 books, the only criticism I have is the repetitive parts in each book and there is not a.clear end to the series. Other than that, they are a light, interesting read, especially if you're a quilter.

Historia
Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO) is blowing the whistle on the real-life House of Cards going on behind the scenes in our nation's capital. Elected in 2014 as president of one of the largest Republican freshman classes ever to enter Congress, Buck quickly realized why nothing gets done in Congress, and it isn't because of political gridlock - in fact, Republicans and Democrats work together all too well to fleece taxpayers and plunge America deeper into debt.
