Historia
If, like Kane, you’re a Denied Access Area spy for the CIA, then boundaries have no meaning. Your function is to go in, do whatever is required, and get out again—by whatever means necessary. You know when to run, when to hide—and when to shoot. But some places don’t play by the rules. Some places are too dangerous, even for a man of Kane’s experience. The badlands where the borders of Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan meet are such a place—a place where violence is the only way to survive.

Unique turns
Revisado: 03-27-24
After following up I am Pilgrim, this story was a unique spin on whatever expectations for a spy thriller I had in mind. It feels loose in science, so I wouldn't expect a mind bending scifi element, and it just felt oddly placed and timed. But fun all around.

The anticipated climax to a series that has been building in popularity, Richard Lee Byers is at his best working with tales of the undead. Prophet of the Dead fulfills on the promise of the title, giving fans a satisfying end to the current threats facing the Brotherhood of the Griffon.

Great series.
Revisado: 07-08-23
Starting with the haunted lands trilogy and finishing with this book at the end of the brotherhood of the griffon series. I am actually sad to see there hasn't been any recent work and I wish we could see more from Aoth and Jet.
The series is filled with great characters and a wonderful exploration of the lore.
The performance is great.
My only complaint was Gaedynn missing from the last two books. Haha well done characters and a fun series.

The start of his next series.
Revisado: 05-14-23
I've been a fan of the author and series for some time. And I have been quite excited to return to Kylar for some time. The story overall held me, and I'm still emotionally tied to the characters. I did find a bit leaned on defining traits of the Lightbringer characters here, which felt unbefitting of Kylar particularly. I cannot fathom tearing this story apart as I felt very invested in it, and I imagine many choices here are for the continuation of Kylar's story. But I do hope the character finds itself again. Reccomend the story for fans, but be aware of the perspective PoV change and maybe a bit too much Kip residue.

Fantastic
Revisado: 04-01-23
The writing is fantastic keeping you enthralled into the journey and characters and the voice over was phenomenal. Well worth it for this modern scifi tale.
