Historia
Meet Eleanor Oliphant: She struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she's thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions, where weekends are punctuated by frozen pizza, vodka, and phone chats with Mummy. But everything changes when Eleanor meets Raymond, the bumbling and deeply unhygienic IT guy from her office.

A mixed bag of emotional jewels!
Revisado: 11-11-24
The story took a bit to get my interest, but then the character development became funny, then hilarious all the while being relatable, and then utterly devastating, all within a very short span.

Fun story with too much cheese
Revisado: 06-22-23
I enjoy 90% of my books through audible but this one probably would have been better enjoyed as a physical read. The voice distracted from the story and sometimes unintentionally overlapped, not allowing a differentiation between characters. Overall, it was entertaining as a silly, light, story but not one I’d necessarily recommend. The author tried to tie deep emotional feelings and serious moments with a much too far fetched and cheesy antagonist, in my opinion. With that said, it’s easy to throw tomatoes from the cheap seats, so until I publish my own novel, who am I to criticize!

Historia
Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: She must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful 13-year-old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family's Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims - a bit too strongly.

Horror Story
Revisado: 09-13-22
I should have done more research before listening to this book. I absolutely loved Gone Girl and expected something along the same lines. Sharp Objects was, in my opinion, incredibly abrasive and unnecessarily graphic. I should have stopped listening after the first few chapters but kept holding out for a reason to justify the vulgarity. It never came.
