Historia
Witch hunts have plagued the kingdom of Olyanath for decades. Thousands were slain due to the king’s paranoia of women who practice Senspiritic magic. No more. Nye and his companions have seen enough of murder and misogyny. Fifteen years have passed since he joined the witch hunters, and now, at long last, an opportunity to destroy them from the inside reveals itself. An opportunity to overthrow the king and end his reign of cruelty. But 15 years of pretense have taken a toll. The strive for vengeance has steered Nye toward a path of violence and villainy.

A Great debut for both the author and the series!
Revisado: 10-17-21
I really enjoyed this one.
The world building and magic system were top notch (very Sanderson-esque) and gripped me from the very start.
The morally grey (dark grey) characters were interesting, if somewhat one note.
The ending was not as climactic as I may have hoped, but that left me wanting to know more about what's going to happen next, and I'll definitely check out the next one.
All in all, a great debut, and a great first book in the series. Hope the author builds on it to reach even higher.

Historia
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Weird, mostly.
Revisado: 07-12-17
While it was interesting, I'm not really sure what it was about or what was the point of it all.

Historia
Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy that began with A Game of Thrones. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

Weird version of this performance.
Revisado: 05-10-17
This was quite strange for me, I've listened to Roy Dotrice's version of this book before, and it was significantly better, apparently, there's more than one.
Quite disappointed to learn that the one in Audible is the lesser one (names are mispronounced, some read errors aren't corrected, etc...)
Still a fairly good book and a fairly good performance, but having listened to the other version, I can't understand why Audible is providing this one.
