This intensive workbook is full of personal discoveries... you will laugh, you will cry, you will get angry, and you will feel empowered. I did every practice/ exercise even when I didn't want to and those I resisted the most or felt the most tempted to skip ended up being the most powerful. I've never felt more ready to move into love. LFG!

I struggled to get into the book at first...I found it hard to follow the narration and I thought he didn't really do a great job putting emotion or passion into the bulk of the book. But the narrator for Joseph Campbell dialougue was great and full of heart! This was a very dense listen... but it came with many "ah hah" moments. Good luck!

With everything going on with Covid 19 and the world climate, this is a must read. It's a deep dive that tells you how, why, and what is going to happen next. The book flew by as each chapter gives way to the greater understanding that we all got off easy with Covid 19 and that if we don't change our ways much MUCH worse is coming....

I've done Keto religiously: failed.
I've done Low-Carb: failed.
I've Counted Calories: only works for so long and takes up a ton of time.
I've done Calorie Deficit with lots of Exercise: works but not sustainable.
Spent too much money on worthless supplements.
My friends have done Weight Watches, Nutri- System, Alkaline, Fruititarian, and Vegetarian: failed to sustain weightloss.

Ladies and gentlemen! I think we're all in the same boat here! At our wits end! 🥵

I've been plant-based since October 2019 (had a hard time giving up cheese) and graduated to 100% Vegan in March 2020... since then I've lost about 7lbs just watching my diet alone...slowly switching my habits from convenience, transitional vegan foods (beyond burger, Lifelight sausage, vegan cheese)...to more whole food plant based, low in added fats and added sugar, as I was very inspired by Plant Based Ben on Instagram. That's when I really honed in. Through that community I was recommended "How Not to Die" which I read a few weeks ago... and then this book! Which I started 8 days ago and finished today.

This book is freaking amazing! One! It tells you through actual scientific data which put everything we have tried all diets....TO THE TEST. TWO! Dr. Greger takes us on a health journey starting off with the fact that none of this is our fault! Between Marketing, Political Manipulation, SAD (Standard American Diet) We are pretty much set up for all of our common diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes etc. Three! He takes us on another journey in how we can do things to change our mindset and reverse the damage done by our society and ourselves. Four! He gives us plenty of biohacks, scientifically proven to work! And Guess what! He's not trying to sell us anything... all these hacks are free or penny's on the dollar by eating certain foods or spices. No supplements (minus B12- which he doesn't personally sell), no gimmicks, no memberships and most importantly NO BULL!

I'm ready to start my life again today without counting calories! Yay!! 🙌....I will update my review 6 months from now to tell you where I am at! currently 5' 4" female, 159 lbs, BMI 26.5.

I found this book narrated by doctor Greger extremely informative! I learned so much new stuff and I love researching everything about health and fitness. Doctor Greger is a great narrator and I'm looking forward to reading his next book how not to diet!

Going through this podcast/interview/therapy session audio book brought so much of my own struggles to life and gave me ways to deal with them. It's amazing how one hour with Mel can be life changing! I've got a lot to work on, but this book made me feel hopeful

This book will change your life....if you implement the dense and priceless information given in this book. I'm on about day 10 of starting my day at 5am. While it's not easy, I've noticed small but positive changes in my whole day... also down 2 lbs lol. The book in written in a Cheesy narrative but I don't think I could have digested as much information given without it. Sit back and enjoy! 5 stars!
