Historia
Khai Diep has no feelings. Well, he feels irritation when people move his things or contentment when ledgers balance down to the penny‚ but not important emotions, like love. His family knows better - that his autism means he just processes emotions differently. When he steadfastly avoids relationships, his mother takes matters into her own hands and returns to Vietnam to find him the perfect bride.

Magical!

I read a lot, and I have to say this is one of the best fiction books I have ever read. Poignant, funny, sad, hopeful, this story is both heartwarming and life affirming. I have been a high teacher for 19 years and have taught many students on the autism spectrum. I appreciate a realistic portrayal of a high functioning person with autism. I can highly recommend this book. It will lift your spirits and help you celebrate our differences, while realizing as people, we really are mostly the same.

Historia
When billionaire Steven Ashton couldn’t stand his high society social life anymore, he left the stress of New York on a vacation for his soul. The need to meet real down to earth people led him to a small Nebraska town. He didn’t want to lie about who he was, but he couldn’t exactly tell them the truth. Emily could have easily fallen in love with Steven, under different circumstances, but her past was catching up with her and she needed a new life.

Not what she seems not the best
Revisado: 08-18-19
The story was mildly entertaining, enough that I listened to the end. It must be what held me because the narration was awful. The reading was stilted and unnatural, the main reason I was tempted so often to stop the story. Listening to the “performer” was close to torturous. I won’t be looking for this author in the future and will definitely avoid anything read by this narrator.
