Historia
When Samuel Pickwick decides to establish and preside over a travelling society, he unknowingly brings together three of the oddest men in all of London: Tracy Tupman, the loveless self-professed ladies’ man, Augustus Snodgrass, the poet who’s never put pen to paper, and Nathaniel Winkle, the endlessly clumsy sportsman. The ‘Pickwickians’ set off in search of new adventures outside of the confines of the city. Along with a host of other colourful Dickensian characters such as Mr Pickwick’s love-struck landlady, Mrs Bardell, and his trusty sidekick, Sam Weller.

Character acting detracted from the story
Revisado: 09-08-22
The voice actor modified his voice and accent for each of the characters. This added some context and development to each of the characters. However, some characters spoke with large booming voices and others spoke with small timid voices. This lead to a nearly constant adjustment of the volume on my listening device.

It would be better in book form
Revisado: 05-29-22
This book was very informative, but would have been better in book form, where a reader could go back and reread complex passages. Also at the beginning the author noted that he had left three mathematical mistakes in the text. He did not identify the mistakes at the conclusion of the book.

The narrator had the wrong tone
Revisado: 05-09-22
The narrator, speaking in the first person, had a very upbeat tone and cheerful disposition. After hearing the entire story, the main character seemed troubled and unsure of his way through life. I don’t think the narrative should have been so upbeat.

I loved all of his anecdotes. The twelve rules were very sensible. I wish I had practiced them as a younger man.

Not really a book
Revisado: 08-14-20
It did not sound as if he was reading anything. He was sharing his personal experiences in oral form, much more like a podcast than a book.
I had trouble connecting to the main character, and I felt more sympathy for Elizabeth Holmes.
I had previously listened to Carryrou's book on Audible and was familiar with the story.
I especially did not like a 20 something young man giving an ultimatum to his 95 year old grandfather.

Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Very informative
Revisado: 08-13-20
I am 69 years old and lived through much of the events described. It was still interesting to recollect all that happened. I liked the parallel stories of JFK and his assassin, and I found Bill O'Reilly's voice authorative and calming.

math lecture

Math lecture with no blackboard. Confusing, repetitive. I agree with the "bedtime story" aspect of the synopsis; this would have put me to sleep if I listened at night.
