Book 5 in the Sugarland Creek series by Brooke Montgomery.

Just like all of her other books, Brooke puts so much passion in the books that she writes and this one is about Wilder and Delilah!

I have the privilege of getting the audio of this book and Teddy Hamilton and Avery Caris did a great job! If you listen to audio books, you know that the narrator is just as important as the character. They have to believe in the character and act as the character would to express everything through the words that they give us. This is what brings the story to life! These two narrators are two of my favorite and they both did incredible as Wilder and Delilah!

Tropes:
• Small town
• Cowboy
• Accidental Vegas wedding
• Ex’s brother
• Mental Health Rep
• Reformed playboy

Ending the series with these two characters, was amazing! We get to see their story and how they manage to get through everything. This book will pull at your heart strings because we get everything and all in between!

AK Evans takes us on a journey filled with pain and joy with this book!

Aaron Shedlock and Kit Swann were perfect for this story! Aaron hasn’t done a story that he can’t portray the character’s role exactly as the author writes it and Kit Swann, the same way! I love these two narrators together and they did an incredible job as Graham and Kat!

Web of Lies gives us Graham and Kat. Both hurt from past experiences and neither one ready to find love again, well until now.

Both thinking a one-night stand will stop the craving, only physical nothing emotional. But they were so wrong!!

Such an incredible story and heartbreaking but in the end they both find a way to heal not only themselves but each other.

You don't want to miss the opportunity to get 2 books in one!

Kathy Lockheart's Secrets and the City book bundle is great!

Deadly Illusion, book 1 in Secrets and the City by Kathy Lockheart.

Jenna and Justin had a sad life growing up when their sister died but finally picked up and tried to find happiness and Jenna thought that is what she found in Colton. She dreamed of a man like Colton and here he is. Until he became obsessive.
Damian owns the gym that Jenna went into and that put her in his sights, along with the bruises.
It was nice watching these two find one another but the pain and angst that this book brought, so emotional!!

Sarah Puckett is one of my favorite female narrators and she did an incredible job as Jenna. Jenna has so many emotions throughout this and Sarah let’s you feel each one! Michael Norman Johnson is new to me so it was nice to hear someone that I haven’t heard before.

Fatal Cure, book 2

Fatal Cure is the second book in the series, Secrets and the City. You don’t have to have read book 1 first but I highly recommend simply because I love her books!

This book is action packed and kept me listening all day. The storyline flows perfectly and the characters were portrayed exactly as they should have been by the narrators!

I love to listen to Sarah Puckett! Michael Norman Johnson is still relatively new to me but he represented Dillon perfectly!

I knew Jesse and Aspen’s book would be epic but wow!

The narrators were great in this one but I haven’t listened to a book yet that Connor Crais can’t pull off the male character! And Lucy Rivers, she was fantastic for Aspen. She is new to me so that worked out perfect for a new series.

Jesse didn’t know the full story but he knew enough that when he left Misty Peak, he asked Aspen if she wanted to go and surprisingly, she said yes. Of course, Jesse had his own reasons for asking her but he knew she needed to get away.
Aspen had to get away from her mom that could turn into a crazy mom in a blink of an eye and he crazy, abusive ex. She didn’t tell anyone about why she broke things off with her ex but she had to get away from him.

Jesse had feelings for Aspen before they left but now that she is staying with him, he can’t keep fighting them but he also won’t push her for anything she isn’t ready for, but now she is.
Being hours away, Aspen thought she was safe. She started to live her life and began opening her heart up to the possibility of love again, with Jesse.

A knock on the door changes everything! He found her and now she is depending on Jesse and the police department to keep her safe.

Book 19 of the Harper Security Ops Series by AK Evans.

Troy Duran and MacKenzie Cartwright are two of my favorite narrators. They each bring something unique to the characters they are portraying! Such a great job with this book!

Book 19 gives us Grayson and Cierra. Grayson loves his job and loves helping not only his teammates but his family as well. Grayson meets Cierra when he has to pick up his nephew from school and the sparks began to fly right then.
Cierra content with her life, laying low and doing a job she loves!

Sparks fly and love begins to bloom between Cierra and Grayson but when he past begins to show itself, she is determined to learn how to keep herself safe. Spending time with Grayson isn’t really a hardship either. After learning why Cierra wants to learn self-defense, Grayson will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

I am so in love with this series, Moonlit Ridge is an incredible series by A.L. Jackson and you don’t want to not read it!

Connor Crais and Desiree Ketchum do an incredible job with Otto and Raven! Connor Crais pulls off Otto’s character and Desiree does Raven. These two I will never get tired of listening as narrators because they put everything into each line and that pulls you into the story so that you not only hear it but it feels like you are the leading character!

Tropes:
• Brother’s best friend
• Age gap
• Touch her and die
• Roommates

Otto tries to be good when his best friend’s little sister needs a place to stay. He has always looked at her as off-limits but now that she is in his home, he sees so much more than he should.
Raven finds herself needing a safe place to stay until she gets on her feet, surely, she can hide her feelings for Otto, right?
Oh my, no they can’t and they each complete the other one.

This is a must read by A.L. Jackson!!! Now, I am so ready for the next one!!!

Ughh, I don’t do well with cliffhangers so I was so ready for this one to be released! Yes, I knew it was a trilogy before I started (😊) but Jackie Walker and the Redleg Security is so worth the agony!!!

Aaron and Kelsey did an incredible job as Homer and Lettie! They spoke the characters perfectly and really gives you the vibe, “yes, this is me!” I enjoy putting voices with characters and these two were spectacular!!!!

Tropes:
• Secrets
• Touch her and die
• Age Gap
• Wounded Hero
• Forbidden love
• BDSM and kink

This book picks up right where book 1 left off! Lettie has so much to overcome but she does! Everything that is thrown at her, only makes her stronger but she needs that strength if she wants to pick up the pieces from her life and put them back together.
Tomer will do anything and everything he can to help Lettie heal! He is what we all think of when we think of a protector! Tomer has secrets that Lettie doesn’t know about but he also knows that for them to move forward, they have to work together and rely as well as trust one another to make that happen!

The final book in the Reckless Series by Nyssa Kathryn!

I love that Jason Clarke and Avery Caris were the narrators to do this final installation of the Reckless Series! Jason does an incredible job on everything he does and gives us the perfect Lock vibes through his voice and Avery is the same! These two are just a few of my go-to narrators when I am deciding whether to read or listen to a book!

This might be the last book in the series but it has topped my favorite thus far of her books!

Tropes:
• Second Chance
• Former military
• Small town

Callie and Lock broke me!!! So much pain in their story but still so much love between them both.

After two years in the military, Lock is ready to come home and spend the rest of his life with Callie but the problem is, he didn’t tell her. Callie thought the breakup was for good and to help heal her broken heart, she left town with no intentions of ever coming back. When Callie’s father became ill, she knew she had to come back home, she just didn’t expect to see Lock again.

Deadly Illusion, book 1 in Secrets and the City by Kathy Lockheart.

OMG, this is the first book I have read/listened to by Kathy Lockheart and it was incredible.

The only thing I didn’t like is that Damian didn’t have his own voice. We did hear him but the main story was done in first person.
