Meh not great
Revisado: 03-26-25
Characters are pissing me off by book 2. I’m giving up on this series. The FMC whines and is def not the badass described and the MmC could be good but is a total jerk- and not in a lovable bad boy way. The casual way they through around her forced prostitution history and still have dominance patriarchy crap is not sexy.

Action, slow burn, steam, creative with good writing and narration. Excited for number two. Not usually into the multiple lovers thing but somehow it works!

Excellent under-rated series
Revisado: 02-26-25
Slow to start but great witty banter, smart twists without too much stress, slow burn then spice. Loved the characters. Only criticism is the waffling in the middle of the series- some times you just want them to rip off the bandaid already.

Intriguing but doesn’t live up
Revisado: 01-17-25
Main character is great- her female love interest is awful- really obnoxious and arrogant and lost any respect for this relationship when they started talking about preferring fair skin that looks good with bruises- really? Couldn’t imagine I heard that right! Then lust triangle- no romantic development here. Tried to get into the story and supposedly quirky characters but found this lack of depth made it hard to commit to the story and didn’t finish.

Fun read for baking but love story bland
Revisado: 12-13-24
Good for fans of British baking show with a twist of good side characters that are all interesting nonhumans. But the live story sort of drags. The main character is in denial and there never seems any real build up.

Don’t understand reviews- not great
Revisado: 11-27-24
I bought this based on the description and great reviews but I’m really struggling to get into this book! Very YA and the female narrator makes everyone seem like they are even younger and more immature than the teenage characters which then gets really gross when they get at all romantic! The story is creative but the tone of the female narrator is completely at odds.

Adventure and slow burn
Revisado: 11-20-24
Creative world with engrossing enemy’s to lovers plot. Narration is excellent and I was totally absorbed due the first 3/4. But honestly the last quarter gets positively nutty. Some might say twists and turns- I say too much! Good stand alone though not sure I’ll like the next book with this set up.
