Al Franken is Wonderfully Funny

Al let's you know right off the bat that if your starting out in life, the trip ain't gonna' be easy. Then again, why should it be.
Al takes you through his life and gives out some good, and some bad, advice about what might work for you.
Honest, funny, sad, and at times moving, this book reflects life itself. Take the end of the book, which I feel is the best part, Al talks about being a senior and how it's probably the most fun anyone will ever have. Excellent!
Life is too short, buy this book and find out why.

Mostly Rehash from the Past

I thought George was great back in the 80's. Unfortunately, that's when I heard most of the stuff in this audio book. It does contain some new material but it's the same ol' routine: George hates this; George curses about that; George believes his way is the only right way; George likes cats; etc.; etc; etc.
After all these years, George is either still the same or he's getting even more bitter. It's hard to tell.
George is just "George". So even though I didn't really like the audio book I'll give it 2 stars because at least he's being honest and not trying to impress anyone. Besides, I have a soft spot for the "ol' coot".

I'm up to part 3 and I can't wait to hear the rest.
