Historia
Cynical, quick-on-the-trigger Takeshi Kovacs, the ex-U.N. envoy turned private eye, has changed careers, and bodies, once more, trading sleuthing for soldiering as a warrior-for-hire and helping a far-flung planet's government put down a bloody revolution.

I have never cringed harder
Revisado: 01-20-22
The story is SO BORING and the sex scenes are unbelievably cringey. And yes. There's two of them. Big oof.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

GREAT story, TERRIBLE narrator
Revisado: 06-18-19
The narrator ruins the book. Everyone sounds like a 70 year-old man. Petyr's name is not Puh-TIRE. Phlegmy laughs do not contribute to my experience.

Short and sweet!
Revisado: 10-30-18
Ironically "short and sweet" cannot be a full review. So I can't leave a short and sweet review on a short and sweet book.

Scott Brick Saves the Day!
Revisado: 09-19-18
B-, predictably-twisty thriller with a fairly-creative mystery and characters that appear in every other book ever written. Gives off the vibe of a Mark Greaney rough draft (which is more of a compliment than an insult). Fortunately Scott Brick saves the day with his angelic voice, convincing you to be nervous, relieved, surprised, and interested. #ScottyBisTheKey

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 08-22-17
This narrator made everyone sound like a creepy Australian. He randomly screamed and grunted. These op center books haven't been very good, but this made this particular book particularly terrible.
Story was fine though.
