Awesome!

I'm in the process of giving several different Science Fiction stories a try. So far this is #1 on the list. There are very few books I would read/listen to more than once. This is one I could listen to over and over. If you're into books with a great plot and where the author doesn't go off on 100 plus page long tangents describing how a character picks their boogers, this story is for you. A perfect blend of plot, character story, and action :)

Great Story!

I grew up watching the movie over and over. Now for the first time I've read the book. How I wish they hadn't left anything out of the movie!! A great read.

My favorite in the series (so far)

So far I've read through book 9 and this has been my favorite. This part of the story really engages the reader and leaves you excited to see what happens next.

Tim Currys reading is icing on the cake.

Giggity!

I started studying this story in Middle/High school. Wrote several papers/analysis on it and have since grown to really enjoy the dark mind that was Poe. Reminds me of my favorite film director Tim Burton. If you enjoy Burton's work, Poe will not disappoint. My only complaint then (and still today) is the verbiage from that particular era of poetry/writing. Unfortunately, that will never change. Perhaps a translation into new era english is in order?

Oh what a wonderful world!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Jim Dale narrating it was just icing on the cake. I grew up watching the disney version. So I asked myself, "why not give the real thing a listen?" The only complaint I have was the story was a little hard to follow, considering all the abnormal goings on in the world of Wonderland. I think another listen would help one understand all the goings on. Overall, a great choice for sure and a strong recommendation from this audible reader.

An abridged version.

What was most disappointing about Stephen King’s story?

Goes into details the reader doesn't care about.

What does Steven Weber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I probably wouldn't have finished the book if it weren't for him reading it.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from It?

About 50 or 60% of the book.

Any additional comments?

This book really needs an abridged version. The full story could be told in 10 hours or less. King goes into WAY to much detail. I don't need to know every time a character picks his/her boogers. Just get on with the action.
