Intriguing Conjecture
Revisado: 12-05-20
This work provided a fascinating review of archeological and scientific findings that suggest cultures much older and more sophisticated than previously thought populating America.
Towards the end it goes into a more speculative direction concerning advanced societies with psychic powers substituting for advanced technologies.
All in all fascinating and worth a listen.

Historia
The anthology Songs of the Dying Earth has assembled one of the most distinguished casts of authors ever - including Dan Simmons, Neil Gaiman, George R. R. Martin, Paula Volsky, Mike Resnick, Robert Silverberg, Lucius Shepard, Tad Williams, Tanith Lee, Liz Williams, Glen Cook, and eleven other famous writers - to write stories in honor of the genius of Jack Vance, stories using the bizarre and darkly beautiful far future setting of the Dying Earth, near the very end of Earth's lifespan.

Loved this collection. Some really great stuff inside. The style of Vance is captured by all the contributors in some fashion. Highly recommend!

Great Intro to Tools Elsewhere

This audio book provided a great deal of general information. My one caveat is that it acts as an index to many online resources and having the web page addresses read becomes cumbersome at times. All in all I did find informative.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

First chapter grabbed me and I enjoyed listening. Too early to determine if I will internalize message and make practical use of it, but definitely a message worthy of application.
