Fun and Familiar

Fun new character with lots of old friends. i really enjoyed this new book set in the Beachwood Harbor universe. Holly is settled with 2 kids but still has it together. Our new character, Blair, is well rounded, self aware and a great addition. Looking forward to her future adventures.

Fun and Funny

Love the Beechwood Harbor series. It's an easy listen with the wonderful Amanda Ronconi narrating. I highly recommend this series if you like witty humor, supernatural stories that aren't heavy or hard to follow, and a bit of mystery.

Holy Cow!

The first chapter of this series was tacked onto the end of another book series I love, so I gave it a shot. WOW!!!! I was hooked immediately. This series is addictive, action packed, funny, romantic, sexy, suspenseful, scary... just straight up fun to listen to/ read. It is considered Young Adult, which I usually don't get into that much, but I would say this book is for 14++ yr olds for sure, with mature content not for the faint of heart either. I lost many hours of sleep listening to the absolutely perfect Emma Galvin's melodious voice, not just in this book, but the whole series, which I am voraciously devouring. In a post-apocalyptic world, the fate of the world depends on the choices of a select few, and boy is it an epic story!
This book is like Divergent (another perfectly narrated tome by Emma Galvin), meets The Walking Dead, meets Twilight-- but not in a creepy 'copying' way, this book definitely tells it's own story. A smoothly written love story? Dystopian adventure? Horror tale? I cannot pigeonhole it, I will just say, The Arcana Chronicles is a wild adventure that is worth the ride! Buy this book!!!

Getting Wonderfully Lost in Narrator's Voice

Robert Petkoff is really just one of my top 5 narrators at this point! He is soooo good, so smooth, accents are right on, even girl voices sound on point, if just a wee bit masculine. This series is really good, action packed, very steamy, I love it! Glad I started it! The writing is consistently good and the stories are interconnected in a great way. Lots of pop culture references, which I love, and fast paced- yet easy to follow. I find myself wishing the books were longer, but at the same time I feel the stories were played out to their conclusion, if that makes sense. If you want action, a little suspense, humor, supernatural characters,and lots and lots of steamy (ah-hem) scenes-- then, get this series!!

I Want to be a Shadow Rider!

Let me preface this review by saying; I am Italian, and this series features a lot of Italian characters, so I may be a bit biased, but wow, I love these books! I cannot wait for the next one to come out. The Shadow Rider supernatural creature is a new one for me, I'd never considered it until the first book, but now I love the concept. The whole lore is very thought out and I am super interested to learn what else the Riders can do. The stories are supernatural romance in general, but there is a lot of action and, of course- a must for me, humor as well. They are also hot and sexy, with a slow burn that will have you on edge and happy about it. Jim Frangione is just the bestest, sigh, I could listen to him all day, oh wait, I kind of do. This is the kind of series that I will pick back up and read again and again.

New Twist, I've Found My Next Series!

This series seems to feature all of the usual Fae characters; vampires, werewolves, Valkyrie, ghouls, wraiths, etc, etc. This is the first book, sort of an introduction to the world painted here and it hits the mark easily. All with little intriguing twists on the lore. In my mind, it would be rated R+++, it is hot and sexy. The writing is smooth, at first I was worried about continuity, but it catches up with itself and I was easily able to forget any early on issues as the book progressed. It is well written and easy to follow, and it did make me blush! Robert Petkoff is amazing, easily in my top 5 narrators now. His accents are top notch! I will definitely continue this series, and I feel it is worth a listen if you like supernatural love stories that have (ahem), bite.

Robot Husband? Sign Me Up!

I was intrigued by the interesting premise of this book. I usually go for more straight up sci-fi, but this is close... at least I don't think we have any sentient androids... yet, lol. The writing was smooth and the story interesting and easy to get lost in. There is a bit of everything here; action, romance, humor, and drama. I finished the book in a few days, which for me, is sign that I really liked it. The narrator is Scottish (she sounds a bit like Karen Gillan to me), and she is a bit rough at parts, but overall I think she does a good job. If you are a romance fan that likes your books a mixed lot with humor and action thrown in, then I would definitely recommend Love for Sale!
