Historia
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he spends his life willingly, knowing that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet.

Excellent except for the final decision
Revisado: 03-30-21
Darrow’s final decision ,which sets up follow on books, in unfaithful to the character developed. The author even hints at who it should be. I want to read that follow on book where he makes the honest and not the dramatic decision.

Historia
Hunting squirrels on an autumn morning, probing the woods, rifle in hand, Jackson reveals an attention to nature too often neglected. Following a bird dog into the damp and mysterious places where woodcock settle on their southbound migrations; chasing hounds on the trail of raccoons on a frosty winter night; stalking deer in a quiet corner of a small farm; fishing for carp in a creek, bass and bluegill in ponds, catfish in a murky river, and reef fish in the Gulf, Jackson reminds that we are stewards of not only resources but also a past that defines us as hunters and fishers.

Good Story but needs a Southern Narrator
Revisado: 09-05-20
The Author has a pleasant southern voice and the story is best understood through a performance of either the author or a Southern Accented Narrator.

Historia
The revised and updated edition of Lt. Col. Dave Grossman's modern classic about the psychology of combat, hailed by the Washington Post as "an illuminating account of how soldiers learn to kill and how they live with the experiences of having killed". In World War II, only 15 to 20 percent of combat infantry were willing to fire their rifles. In Korea, about 50 percent. In Vietnam, the figure rose to more than 90 percent. The good news is that most soldiers are loath to kill.

Good but..
Revisado: 12-28-18
There are several sections that provide good and useable information for both military leaders and trigger pullers but the author gets ahead of skis on some subjects. Worth a listen - take the good - ignore the weak/unusable/unsupported. You’ll know when the author makes good points and when he is opining on thin ice.
