Historia
Julian Lawndsley has renounced his high-flying job in the city for a simpler life running a bookshop in a small English seaside town. But only a couple of months into his new career, Julian’s evening is disrupted by a visitor. Edward, a Polish émigré living in Silverview, the big house on the edge of town, seems to know a lot about Julian’s family and is rather too interested in the inner workings of his modest new enterprise.

I have red all the LeCarre novels. This one needed rereading multiple times and a notebook to track the characters.

Difficult to follow. I JLC describes the potential denouement between old foes as the Cold War fades.

Historia
Peter Grant is facing fatherhood, and an uncertain future, with equal amounts of panic and enthusiasm. Rather than sit around, he takes a job with émigré Silicon Valley tech genius Terrence Skinner's brand new London start up - the Serious Cybernetics Company. Drawn into the orbit of Old Street's famous "silicon roundabout", Peter must learn how to blend in with people who are both civilians and geekier than he is.

Continued evolution
Revisado: 01-11-23
Ben Aaronovitch has found wonderful new characters and new scientific concepts springing from the goldmine of his mind. I am entertained and inspired to delve and research further. Cobner is magnificently talented in bringing Peter and the whole gamut of characters to life. Vastly entertaining again!

Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Brilliant conclusion to an epic sci-fi saga.
Revisado: 12-09-22
Craig Alanson has found a comprehensive resolution to the wonderful Expeditionary Force saga. A fond farewell to my friends Joe and Skippy. As a voice actor myself, I am a huge fan of RC Bray, His contribution to this project is immense. He and Craig are an inseparable combination akin to Gilbert and Sullivan. Thank you both for the creativity of this series and the vivid and memorable characters.

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

The Duke story is terrific
Revisado: 08-10-22
As a voice over performer myself I am always astounded by RCBray as the narrator. He is a genius. Duke is the “Skippy” of this story. Kaz is the Bishop. As a Harry Dresden fan I was worried that Craig Alanson would find this new territory a big challenge. However this story was very well crafted. My only criticism would be related to the final scene. It needed more definition and challenge. I look forward to the next one! Barney style! I see what you did there.

Historia
Here is the behind-the-scenes story of how the United States forged its wartime alliance with Britain, told from the perspective of three key American players in London: Edward R. Murrow, Averell Harriman, and John Gilbert Winant. Drawing from a variety of primary sources, Olson skillfully depicts the dramatic personal journeys of these men who, determined to save Britain from Hitler, helped convince a cautious Franklin Roosevelt and a reluctant American public to support the British at a critical time.

This time and these people formed the world into which I emerged six years later. Lynne Olson has created a masterpiece.
Revisado: 01-14-18
Citizens of London describes my parent’s world of wartime London. The insight relating to the actions, motivations of leading wartime personalities including Wynant, Murrow, Churchill and Harriman painted a memorable picture of the conditions, stresses, conflicts, emotions and critical relationships that have shaped our modern world.
