Historia
Henri Skinner is a hardened ex-war reporter on the run from his past. On his way to see his son, Sam, for the first time in years, Henri steps into the road without looking and collides with oncoming traffic. He is rushed to a nearby hospital, where he floats, comatose, between dreams, reliving the fairy tales of his childhood and the secrets that made him run away in the first place. After the accident, Sam - a 13-year-old synesthete with an IQ of 144 and an appetite for science fiction - waits by his father’s bedside every day.

Poetic tuck of heart strings
Revisado: 10-21-23
The book weaves dreamlike multiple non- linear storylines beautifully with the current timeline. The narrators added to the quality of the dreamscapes. I’m touched, moved and drawn into the characters. Thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Historia
Behind every assassination, there is an anonymous mastermind - a plotter - working in the shadows. Plotters quietly dictate the moves of the city's most dangerous criminals, but their existence is little more than legend. Reseng is an assassin. Raised by a cantankerous killer named Old Raccoon in the crime headquarters "The Library", Reseng never questioned anything: where to go, who to kill, or why his home was filled with books that no one ever read. But one day, Reseng steps out of line on a job, toppling a set of carefully calibrated plans.

Not your typical thrillers
Revisado: 06-28-23
Once you get used to the beginning part of narratives, you will find an interesting choice of narration to reflect the undertones of the character. A slow burn.

Historia
James and Jessica Sommers are celebrating their first blissful year together, an unexpected second chance at true love. Unfortunately, their newfound shot at happiness is not without collateral damage. There’s Jessica’s ex-husband. He pretends for all the world that he’s resilient and strong. If only for the sake of their teenage son, profoundly vulnerable in his own way. James’ ex has taken a different road. Bitter, vengeful, and threatening, she wants only the worst for the happy couple. And then there’s the couple themselves: Are they truly as in love as they seem?

Too many characters
Revisado: 03-20-23
It’s a promising story, not really a murder mystery, but a family drama. Too many characters without a lead character to thread the story from beginning to end. It’s hard to care for each character not knowing where they stand. It reminds me of JK Rowlings’ CB Strike series, with many characters, but they were threaded together by the two main protagonists.
