Historia
Perturabo - master of siegecraft and the executioner of Olympia. Long has he lived in the shadow of his more favoured primarch brothers, frustrated by the mundane and ignominious duties which regularly fall to his Legion. When Fulgrim offers him the chance to lead an expedition in search of ancient and destructive xenos weaponry, the Iron Warriors and the Emperor's Children unite and venture deep into the heart of the great star maelstrom that haunts Perturabo's dreams.

This book made me like Perterabo
Revisado: 02-09-23
Perterabo with his hot temper was one f my least favorite Primarchs. This book changed all of that. It’s a great move that helps move the Horus Heresy story along (versus retelling the same battles from a different viewpoint). It’s instrumental in understanding the story around the Emperors Children Legion as well.

Seems odd at first but the wait is worth it
Revisado: 02-22-22
About 3/4 of the way through the story everything unfolds and becomes well worth the wait. If it doesn’t make full sense in the beginning just wait for it. The end is great and not what you think it will be.

Attached to Crusade Fleet Quintus - dubbed the Cursed Fleet by many - the Ultramarines of the Ithraca’s Vengeance are drawn to a stricken world. With millions enslaved, a malign necron technology siphons the souls of the innocent and heralds the Silent Kingdom’s expansion. The Ultramarines face an impossible decision: mount a desperate last stand to destroy the Pariah Nexus, or break away and damn the entire sector to bring word of this ancient foe’s resurgence to the only being capable of halting it - the Lord Primarch Roboute Guilliman.

Decent book but not Horus Heresy series great
Revisado: 08-11-20
It was really entertaining to see the dynamics of the Necrons, however the chemistry between the Ultramarines leadership, including the chaplains really fell short.
I’m a big fan of the Horus Heresy series and this just didn’t have the same excitement even though I didn’t know the outcome of this story which should have made it more exciting.

Historia
People - friends, family members, work colleagues, salespeople - lie to us all the time. Daily, hourly, constantly. None of us is immune, and all of us are victims. According to studies by several different researchers, most of us encounter nearly 200 lies a day. Now there’s something we can do about it. Liespotting links three disciplines - facial recognition training, interrogation training, and a comprehensive survey of research in the field - into a specialized body of information developed specifically to help business leaders detect deception....

Don’t be fooled by the title, there is no applicable content here
Revisado: 12-05-19
Based on the title, I was expecting that this book would be a practical guide to different tricks and techniques used when spotting lies. Things like people always look this direction or twitch these fingers when they are being subversive, etc. This book has none of that. It’s mostly a short story of a business leader whom got scammed by an employee and is upset by that fact. There is some light academic components in here; but it isn’t from an academic. It’s a non academic whom read some academic research and the attempted to redeliver those points. This was a complete waste of money and time.

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

the first 2/3 of the book is excellent but ends on a meh
Revisado: 10-20-17
I was initially afraid this was going to be just another replica of Ready Player One which I absolutely loved; but didn’t want to reread it in another format. There are definitely similarities between the two books, but this is bar none a much different story.
I really loved the story as a whole up to phase 3. Then, although there were a few surprise twists, was really meh. The slow moments were too slow, some things were thrown in as filler, and these epic battles that the whole story built up to were over in a paragraph or two. It’s like the author quit caring once he reached the end.

Historia
In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.

The greatest story ever told
Revisado: 04-24-17
This shortened version of the bible definitely leaves some things out but it does a good job covering the main parts. If you have never been through the bible front to back this is a great first step into that journey and learning more on what the bible and its stories are about and how they are all on connected.
