Rev. Ike's story is told very well. Really appreciate the description of his relationship with his mother in the book. It hurts when your parents won't follow you into the next dimension of consciousness of the Kingdom of God within. This book is providing a lot of context to my own spiritual journey.

Not a Western love story

I really enjoyed the themes and style of this story. The voice actors did an amazing job bringing out the characters emotions and thoughts putting me in the room with them. This is the first book I read that felt black as I know it. It challenged my thinking and emotions because the books I have read have been typical western love stories. Thank you!
