This is the first LLV book that I disliked the MCs so intensely. The heroine was a mess and let people walk all over her and treat her like crap for years. Her clumsiness was not cute but cringe worthy. She got seriously hurt ALL the time.
The so-called hero was just too weak for my taste. He was so into himself he never noticed anything going on around him. He also let the OW (who he had sex with) paw at him all the time in front of the heroine. He thought it was funny that h was jealous.
And why was a student who everyone knew was a psycho allowed to go unchecked with his rein of terror?
Since I like most of LLV's books I will read the other books in the series, I'm just hoping they're better than this one.

I was so turned off by Quint's stupid behavior and the narrator's poor acting skills that I couldn't enjoy the audiobook nor the ebook. I have other books by this author and like them, but this one was a miss for me.
As far as the narrator goes I think I will avoid any book that she narrates with dual POVs, or where there are more them one character she needs to voice. She wasn't very good at changing from female to male voices or female to female voices for that matter.

I can't express how much I dislike Brooklyn. This chick was way to self-centered and whiny for me. Will it stop me from getting another Samantha Christy book? No, I like her writing style and enjoyed "The Perfect Game" series, I just did not connect with this book. Also, Erin Mallory is one of my favorite narrators and she was the best part of this audiobook for me.

Loved The Narrators But The Story Not So Much

The book didn't work for me. I have to like the characters and I just didn't like Blair and Colin. Maybe I would have liked her better if she had of confronted her ex-husband and ex-bestfriend. Instead her anger was displaced and she took it out on men who did nothing to her. And Colin. With friends like him wo needs enemies.
I loved the narration (especially Joe Arden). I would absolutely listen to them read something else.

I wanted to like this book but Erin was a huge problem for me, so no I couldn't get into it like I wanted to. I just can't like someone who keeps whining about people, hiding things from her, not treating her as an adult and no one taking her feelings into consideration when she throws tantrums like a three year old and refuses to talk with anyone about issues (like an adult). And yeah, she just found out about Gage being her real dad, but she keeps forgetting that Gage also just found out he has a daughter that he knew nothing about.

Francis Ray yes. A. Savalas no.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrators tone or cadence was so slow and boring. She also wasn't the best at male voices. There were times I thought there were two women talking instead of a man and woman.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I don't know who would really enjoy this book. Maybe angsty teenage girls who feel that no one understands them.
How could the performance have been better?
The actors sounded so young to me (14-17), so listening to the sex scenes made me feel creepy and uncomfortable.
Any additional comments?
Really I don't all of the 4 and 5 star reviews this book got. I've read the other books in the series and didn't dislike the as much as this one. Or maybe I liked them better because I read them and didn't have to listen to them.
