Historia
When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed—a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.

Heartwarming and spiritual
Revisado: 07-18-11
Not especially well-written, but the story is riveting and very believable. The non-believers will find holes in the story and explain it away. Believers will find even more proof that there really is a place called heaven.

Historia
At a certain time in life, we all come to realize what is truly important to us and what just doesn’t matter. For Shirley MacLaine, that time is now. In this wise, witty, and fearless collection of small observations and big-picture questions, she shares with listeners all those things that she is over dealing with in life, in love, at home, and in the larger world… as well as the things she will never get over, no matter how long she lives.

If you like Shirley, you'll like this book
Revisado: 07-18-11
Shirley MacClaine has always told it like it is...and at this point in her life, she's holding nothing back. The fun is that if you're in the same age bracket, you'll find yourself agreeing because the same things drive you crazy in life -- the big things and the little things. Not as deep or as spiritual as her other books. More like a good gripe session with a good friend.

Historia
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Fun for a quick "read"
Revisado: 07-18-11
Tina Fey is funny when she acts and funny when she writes. Here she gives humorous glimpses into her past -- how she's reached her fame and renown. A fun listen that doesn't get too deep.

Even if you don't like talking dogs...
Revisado: 07-18-11
...you'll love this book. Told in unsentimental terms, the author makes you believe what you always suspected -- that dogs comprehend what we do and say, and they have their own devoted point of view as well. Unlike other "dogs that think" stories, this is a book about adults coping with adult topics. Not overly sappy or cute. You come to respect and admire the dignity of this dog named Enzo.

Historia
Even on their wedding day, John and Irene sensed that they were about to make a mistake. When tragedy strikes, Irene and John come together to support the daughter they love so dearly.

Worth listening
Revisado: 07-18-11
Very dramatic and cliff-hanging sub-plot is woven into a story about an everyday dysfunctional couple trying to raise and love their almost adult daughter -- one wanting to protect and shelter and the other promoting the theory "if you love them, let them go." In the end, both parents prove to be right.
