I don’t know how to express how much I loved this novel. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read; for sure!
A tribute to the women who served in the Vietnam War. My heart broke so many times reading this book. 😭😭😭 (This is my tissue alert!)
Following nurse Frankie McGrath from her time in nursing school, how hers brother’s death in Vietnam prompted her to enlist as a nurse, her two tours, and life when she returned home. How she survived the war, PTSD, and being told “there were no women in Vietnam” when she went to the VA for help.

Very immature even for YA

This book is like bad fan fiction of Twilight.
I love YA books but this one was written, as another reviewer wrote, “immaturely”. The vocabulary was very basic. The plot was generic. The narration was weak.
Actually, the narrators voice ended up being the straw that broke the camels back. I returned the book. I couldn’t finish it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gone Girl?
The twists... Every time you think you have it figured out something new happens to make you wonder.
Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to either Julia Whelan or Kirby Heyborne before but their performances were great in this book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I stayed up all night listening thinking at the end of this section I'll turn it off; then I "had" to listen to the next part to find out what happened.
Any additional comments?
Great story line. Kept me on the edge of my seat. It's my first Gillian Flynn novel but definitely won't be my last.
