I own every book in this series, and I’m not gone lie… the last two - three books just left me feeling bored. But I’m a loyal fan, so I buy the books regardless… It felt like I was reading the same ole story, but this one had me hooked beginning to end! It may be my favorite out the series. Family drama, relationship trauma, teddy bear, Haitian fmc - and the fmc was extremely strong in her own way.

Love story that doesn’t follow the rules, makes this story more relatable. Every time I listen to one of this author’s stories, I end up looking for next in the series 🥴. I love this author’s writing style because it is unique as she represents a range of interracial relationships instead of sticking to plan boring scripts. I mean I can count on my hand how many stories I come across that use a different type of characters like a Black women who likes metal pared with a Latino male who has plans for his plans - UNIQUE

Better than I expected!

I really enjoyed the story line, wish the other books in the series were on here. This one his been in my wish list for the longest, because most of the reviews scared me. The narrator isn’t the best pick for this type of story, and yes it is a little weird/ funny listening to a old man talk about sexual needs. The story line kept my interest, as it is a different twist on the alien abduction storyline. I have listened to a lot and most stick to the same script, so kudos to the author because she actually created a unique world.
In my opinion the narrator isn’t so bad that it was a distraction from the storyline. Maybe I’m biased. I have listened to some bad narrators in the past, and this guy didn’t annoy me to the point I’m rethinking the purchase. Huge fan of this author!

This is a DARK romance. so if you are not looking for a taboo topic this book is not for you. I like the creativity of this audible, and it kept my interest throughout. Quick, Entertaining, Eye Opening, Clutch Your Pearls, Read - Narration was pretty good, their tones reflect what is happening. You would be amazed at how many books I have listened to and the narrator is monotoned throughout the entire book. It sucks, but this book doesn’t. :)
