Historia
Prince Hywel has called all the bards of Wales to him for a music festival to mark the third anniversary of his rule over Ceredigion. He has invited all the lords of Wales too, including his father, his uncle, and his neighbor to the south, King Cadell. But with the highborn also come the low: thieves, spies, and other hangers-on. And when a murderer strikes as the festival starts, Gareth and Gwen are charged with discovering his identity - before the death of a peasant shakes the throne of a king.

Historia
It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind. Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there. Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown.

Jack Reacher -Love this character!!
Revisado: 11-18-16
I've listened to all of the Jack Reacher books and was on a waiting list for this new one - the end or climax was a little disappointing in this book and surprised me. But the book was true Reacher in all ways and certainly worth the listen! Just wish there was another to go to now...enjoy all!!

Another Great Story by Ms. Gregory
Revisado: 09-12-16
Although Margaret Beufort is not my favorite lady of history, hers is a story of never giving up. It's well done in all ways just like all of Phillipa Gregory's historical novels. Love them all!!!

I am a history buff as I'm sure the people reading this review are. The Tudors, with all of their changes brought with them, were people with love and sadness overwhelming their personal lives. Phillipa Gregory brought a previously unknown to life and did it so well! I will listen to this again I am certain. Thank you to Ms Gregory!!

Revisado: 02-12-16
I've never read anything like this - was afraid it would be scary but it was anything but. It was a love story and somehow being in the head of a man possessed by a woman is crazy entertaining with the emphasis on crazy. So bottom line I would so recommend it! I got so into it I listened at work! Thank goodness for headphones lol- have fun as this is an excellent read/listen!!!!!!

Incredible! Spell Binding!!!
Revisado: 10-29-15
Where does The King's Curse rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This books ranks at the very top of all books I've listened to. Of course, I am a medieval buff and most of my reading has been about the Plantaganet Kings, but I do enjoy reading about the Tudors. This book brings to light the serial killer that King Henry VIII was and how mentally ill he was.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The King's Curse?
The reading was done well! Bianca Amato is far and above any other reader I've listened to, to date; bringing the people and the times to light. Well done! There were so many memorable moments that I cannot write which one, just that the book was so well written and read and I would tell all to get these books.
Have you listened to any of Bianca Amato’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first book that I've listened to in which Bianca Amato has read. It was so good that I am not going to find anything else I can and get those books. She is far and above any other reader that I've ever experienced.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Times of King Henry VIII.
Any additional comments?
Well done, So well done.

love story with Jack Reacher books
Revisado: 11-11-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
First let me start this review saying that I've never written a bad review in my life. I know the impact that they cause as I've made choices myself based on reviews. I gave this a lot of thought.
For the last several months I have devoured all of Lee Child's Jack Reacher series and loved them! Dick Hill does an incredible job! Then I listened to the last available book and immediately began searching for more similar books as this type of read was new to me being primarily a historical story reader/listener.
Then I ran across this series which contained many of the same characters so I thought "score"!! Story line is good but OH MY the narrarating was painful to listen to. Suffice to say I am returning it today after many attempts to get past the Gaspar voice and the attempt at what reminded me of the Dragnet (dating myself and apologies to the younger folks reading this) narrator Hal Gibney which was a great black and white tv series back in the 1950's (I saw reruns - ha). It worked fabulously for that series.
Perhaps this book would be best read the old fashioned way and I may try that as I thought the story was good if not a little weird as it was all about Reacher - there must be a relationship between Lee Child and Get Back Jack's author Diane Capri as if there were not there would be no way that this book and the entire series would have been published.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Narrating was so laborious that I lost the story line at times.
What didn’t you like about Kelley Hazen and StorytellerProductions ’s performance?
Horrible narrating.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
couldnt get through chapter 7 sadly.

She was beloved and turned out to be a great Queen. This story shows her weaknesses when she is first crowned and the men she turned to - I think they were lovers but I'm not sure that this all happened but I enjoyed listening - am having to drive to Kansas from Colorado a lot these days and these stories are wonderful for that 8 hour drive...it's worth the money and enjoy as I did!!!

Imagine you could travel back to the 14th century. What would you see? What would you smell? More to the point, where are you going to stay? And what are you going to eat? Ian Mortimer shows us that the past is not just something to be studied; it is also something to be lived. He sets out to explain what life was like in the most immediate way, through taking you to the Middle Ages. The result is the most astonishing social history book you are ever likely to read: evolutionary in its concept, informative and entertaining in its detail.

Revisado: 12-01-10
This book is amazing...I've been a long time fan of these times and have read lots of books like "Here Be Dragons" by Sharon K. Penman which anyone which likes these time should try (and there are two more of that trilogy) - but I've long wondered what it would be like to live there in those times and this book tells the story of how life is there - I've said many times that if I could go back to those times and be a King's sister or wife, I would...but after listening to this book I realize that I have it "pretty good" right here in 2010. This book is great and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys this time in history as I do, to hear what it is probably like. Definitely recommend this!
