The author mixes and matches technical details of various topics and that show his lack of knowledge on the subject matter. weapons, aviation and petroleum production Details are mixed up or are outright made up. If the listener has knowledge in these fields it can be annoying. that leads me to question the accuracy of the other details.

This is a great story. The reader makes it annoying to listen to. This reader needs to learn to pronounce Spanish words or stop reading those books. He sounded like a good ol boy. I hear banjo playing in the background 🤣 😂

if you want to learn how to manipulate people and become a master sociopath, con men, thief this is a great book for you. if you're an upstanding morally sound person you will quickly get disgusted with the presentations in this book. it truly explores the dark side of the human psyche.

This is a great espionage thriller with all kinds of twists and turns and as soon as you think you have it figured out you're soon proved wrong! not a dull moment to be had. The critique would be how many times do they have to mention that a Glock has a safety to flick off? there's never been a Glock made with a manual safety as they are built with a safe action trigger system. there are various other things that are either not well developed or not technically accurate. anybody who is a subject matter on any of the facets of these books will want to scream at their phone as they listen to the Jack Mars books like this.

Although historically I have absolutely loved anything written by this author period listening to the normal narrator and the author read every other chapter is like going from one of those ideal soft spoken narrators to listening to a California surfer reading the same book. overall the story was incredible and the performance was above par. I did just find it kind of unsettling to flop between two different narrators every other chapter period this tend to ruin the continuity of the story in some respects. and the grand summation I would highly recommend this book and others by this author because of his incredible technical descriptions and well thought out storyline!

this is a great military story that rang true with an old Kansas country boy. plenty of action, a very cohesive storyline that flowed nicely to a conclusion. other than the narrator's pronunciation of some geographical locations this was an excellent performance on par with the best of audiable. I am looking forward to finishing all the books in the series, and sincerely hope that audible is able to bring the entire series to its customers in the future.

I tried to stick with this book but with a little less than three hours to go I had to call it quits. The book just wouldn't hold my interest due to the cheesy storyline Andover acted narration. the female narrator trying to change her voice to mimic the male dialogue was just too over-the-top for me.

this book was full of a lot of twists and turns with very descriptive action sequences and excellent narration. there are a few technical inaccuracies otherwise a very complete and accurate representation of current and future technology. the power systems on submarines ships and airplanes run at 400 Hertz versus 400 megahertz. this is to make the magnetic components of the system smaller and lighter such as transformers motors circuit breakers and reduction power supplies for DC circuit's. a 60 hertz transformer like you would have in your house might weigh 20 lb most of that is iron and about 10% of it is copper. The same transformer on a 400 hz system would weigh about 3 lb and have a toroidal core made out of powdered iron and resin that provides the same function in a more compact and efficient package. this also means that you need smaller and lighter filter capacitors etc to make the systems lighter and more efficient. this is more of an issue on aircraft than it is on Marine vessels as weight is a premium on an aircraft but not necessarily on a submarine.
