Historia
In a world increasingly ruled by numbers and algorithms, award-winning journalist Chris Jones makes a compelling case for a more personal approach to analytical thinking. The Eye Test is a necessary course correction, a call for a more balanced, personal approach to problem-solving. Award-winning journalist Chris Jones makes the case for the human element - for what smart, practiced, devoted people can bring to situations that have proved resistant to analytics.

Had so much potential
Revisado: 09-29-22
The first chapter was great, then turned political. You start to catch it and then by the time he gets to polling, it is clear. I don’t understand why the author does this and to the point he is spouting falsehoods. Such a disappointment.

Historia
Myron hasn't heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She's in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she's never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she'd ever loved was taken from her.

Bring back Jonathan Marosz

I echo others in missing Jonathan Marosz narration.
Good story, as usual many twists.

Great Story Line & Narration
Revisado: 08-06-18
This series could be made into a great movie. It has everything, Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans, and Star Fleet. Based on the orginal cast plus a few new characters, it is a unique Stark Trek story.

Historia
The retired four-star general and and best-selling author of My Share of the Task shares a powerful new leadership model. Former General Stanley McChrystal held a key position for much of the War on Terror, as head of the Joint Special Operations Command. In Iraq, he found that despite the vastly superior resources, manpower, and training of the US Military, Al Qaeda had an advantage because of its structure as a loose network of small, independent cells. To defeat such an agile enemy, JSOC had to change its focus from efficiency to adaptability.

Great book - A must read for leaders of orgs
Revisado: 06-19-17
Was not sure how this book would go and I must say I loved it. General McChrystal does a fantastic job of laying out his experiences in the military and relating them to leading any organization. He combines the past, present, and future of leadership styles. The most disappointing thing is my organization is one stuck in the past and this book made it much clearer how behind the times we are.

Historia
He fought for Washington, served with Lincoln, witnessed Bunker Hill, and sounded the clarion against slavery on the eve of the Civil War. He negotiated an end to the War of 1812, engineered the annexation of Florida, and won the Supreme Court decision that freed the African captives of La Amistad. He served his nation as minister to six countries, secretary of state, senator, congressman, and president. John Quincy Adams was all of these things and more. In this masterful biography, award-winning author Harlow Giles Unger reveals Adams as a towering figure in the nation’s formative years.

Amazing book about an incredible President. This book opened my eyes to a part of history I never knew. It explains many things during the early formation of the United States.

Narration was good. Story kept you wanting to find out what's next. In a couple of parts things were too drawn out.
