Historia
It was a day like any other when suddenly the world changed. The universe reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A place where power is the only thing anyone can truly rely on.

Great Game Focused LitRPG
Revisado: 01-21-23
This book was lighter on story and heavier on leveling, skills, and abilities. The story that was there was good: friendship, betrayal, and self discovery; and hinted at a larger world yet to come.
The leveling system was very MMO feeling with strong undertones of western cultivation. And we experience it in a deep close third POV—my favorite.
I read some negative reviews about the writing, saying it was hard to follow or something. It’s not at all. While I do wish the audio format would come up with some way to indicate new sections or POVs, as long as you are paying attention, the POV character announces themselves in their first few sentences every time.

At any moment, his enemies could band together to kill him. If it weren’t for the Dreadgods. All four are empowered and unleashed, rampaging through Cradle, and grudges old and new must be set aside. The Monarchs need every capable fighter to help them defend their territory.

Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

I WANT MORE!
Revisado: 12-13-11
Would you listen to Ready Player One again? Why?
Yes, and I have twice now. I think I will start it again soon.
What did you like best about this story?
I like everything the best. I grew up in the 80s and this book spoke to the foundation of everything that made me happy when I was a kid. I want to get in to the Oasis.
What does Wil Wheaton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is referenced in the book a few times and it has this like, meta joy when the real Wheaton reads about the Wheaton who is a political figure in the Oasis. It seems like Will is hanging out in my living room, reading the book out loud. I love it. So much geek cred.

Good but too long.
Revisado: 12-13-11
What did you love best about Reamde?
What I loved most about REAMDE was that it glanced off of things I care about; like family, guns, World of Warcraft, being a bad @$%, and the real value of things that aren't real.

Historia
On the treacherous streets of Riverside, a man lives and dies by the sword. Even the nobles on the Hill turn to duels to settle their disputes. Within this elite, dangerous world, Richard St. Vier is the undisputed master, as skilled as he is ruthless--until a death by the sword is met with outrage instead of awe, and the city discovers that the line between hero and villain can be altered in the blink of an eye.

AHHHHHH What? Wheres the rest of it?
Revisado: 12-13-11
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
There was only character who evolved and so there was only one character I cared about. He didn't get an ending. Why was so much time and promise put in to a character who was just going to be shoved off and forgotten about. The story, and the ending, otherwise was great.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The fight between the sword instructor (Applewhite I think) and Richard was fantastic. It was the right thing to really push Michael's store forward; to bad it didn't.
