Historia
Christians have lived in Palestine since the earliest days of the Jesus movement. The Palestinian church predates Islam. Yet Palestinian Christians find themselves marginalized and ostracized. In the heated tensions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the voices of Palestinian Christians are often unheard and ignored. This remarkable book provides an opportunity to hear the realities of life on the ground from a leading Palestinian pastor and theologian.

Following Christ in the Holy Land
Revisado: 04-22-24
Insightfully informed by experience, history, and the Bible, Rev Dr Munther Isaac calls us to love our neighbour and seek justice for all. The theology presented here is applicable beyond the Middle East – in our broken world, Christians must seek God’s kingdom with humility and courage.

Historia
A Ranger’s Guide to Glipwood Forest expands the legend and lore of this treacherous land of fatal flora and fanged beasts—and the history of the first adventurers daring enough to brave the forest depths. Through detailed line art, maps, and directions, travelers can safely marvel at the majestic glipwood trees, poke around the (possibly haunted) Anklejelly Cavern, dip their toes into the Mighty River Blapp (if they dare!), and avoid falling off a cliff edge into the Dark Sea of Darkness and being swallowed by a sea dragon.

Historia
With growing academic responsibilities, family commitments, and inboxes, scholars are struggling to fulfill their writing goals. A finished book - or even steady journal articles - may seem like an impossible dream. But, as Joli Jensen proves, it really is possible to write happily and productively in academe. Jensen begins by busting the myth that universities are supportive writing environments. She points out that academia, an arena dedicated to scholarship, offers pressures that actually prevent scholarly writing.

Excellent advice for researchers
Revisado: 11-03-23
As a post-PhD climate scientist employed to publish high quality research, I found this book especially helpful. Jensen focuses on the writing process (not style). Her advice is insightful, practical, and achievable. As researchers, we can set aside at least 15 mins a day to train ourselves to focus on writing, can we not? I would also recommend setting aside a few minutes each day to learn from others about essential research skills, including the craft of writing - Jensen’s book is a great place to start.

Witty, beautiful, and deeply insightful
Revisado: 02-14-23
I am a father of three young children who are not yet old enough for the Wingfeather Saga. Nevertheless, I have fallen in love with the series myself. From the outset, one learns that Peterson's writing style is witty. As the series progresses, movingly beautiful moments brought tears to my eyes. Peterson writes (and performs) eloquently with deep insight, plumbing the depths of human experience to communicate deep truths - truths with which adults must also wrestle. Amidst the brokenness, we can find beauty and hope.
