I very much enjoyed this book. It gives great insight into the man, Elijah. It is also personally convicting in many places, something we all need to hear. Hamilton Smith provides new wisdom into this book of the Bible that I have read many times. I thought the narration was excellent as well.

I listened to all the episodes in 24 hours. I like this podcast because there isn't a lot of random banter between hosts and guests that doesn't pertain to the episode's subject matter. I instantly turn other podcasts off for this reason. Very professionally made. I also appreciate the level of maturity this podcast has when discussing the supernatural.

I could not finish one whole episode. The narrator appears to be reading straight off of a script, and it almost sounds like computer generated speech. It was terrible.

Jane Harper is one of my favorite authors, and I eagerly awaited this book's release. It was very good, I do recommend it, although maybe just a tad less than her previous novels.

I had passed over this selection a couple of times, but finally looked at the sheer number of 5 star reviews and thought, "How can this many people be wrong?" I am so glad I gave it a shot. Trevor Noah's straightforward and disarming humor illuminates a topic that isn't funny at all. A timely read/listen for all of us. At the heart of this story is family, perseverance and the faith to keep striving when the world is unjust. I also love his Mom's personal insurance policy. Dude, listen to your mother!

I haven't read a book of any genre in a long time that I have enjoyed as much as this one. I laughed out loud, I cried several times, and I reveled in the sheer relatability of this woman. No matter what side of the political fence you stand on, Michelle Obama and her story is one we all need to hear. Yes, you ARE good enough! Great, in fact. As she so aptly tells the world, often greatness lies in great humility and human compassion.

This book brought to mind Colleen McCullough's Thorn Birds for me, but with so much more. Morton has the unusual gift of weaving together decades of intertwined story lines and generations to create a novel that crosses genres. It is historical fiction, mystery and fantasy all rolled into one addictive package. It took me awhile to get into the constantly shifting storylines. Each character has a chance to tell the story from his or her perspective, thus unraveling the mystery one tantalizing tidbit at a time. Stick with it and it becomes clearer and clearer, I promise. That is actually the most masterful bit of Morton's writing to me, the way the novel is arranged to keep the reader guessing and finding parallels. I also found the narrator to be a perfect fit for the book. Narrators can make or break an audio version of a novel for me. Caroline Lee's voice is much the way I imagine Eliza's to be... musical, light, ethereal. I think I have found my next "binge " author.
