Asians in MN! I loved it. The vivid sounds of Northern Minnesota totally took me there, and I was hooked into the mystery.

Similar to Coma but worth the credit
Revisado: 12-28-15
Any additional comments?
I love Robin Cook and this story, although similar to Coma, is the kind of hospital mystery I have always loved. As someone else said, it's an updated version of Coma, nothing wrong with that, I have read and listened to Coma more than once, know the ending but still loved the book. This ending is definitely creepier than Coma. I would recommend this book to anyone that is a Robin Cook fan and is looking for an old fashioned suspenseful hospital drama. I love the narrator, George Guidall, is one of the best in the industry, I have discovered new authors by taking a chance on a book because George was the narrator.

Historia
In a pulls-no-punches essay intended to provoke rational discussion, Stephen King sets down his thoughts about gun violence in America. Anger and grief in the wake of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School are palpable in this urgent piece of writing, but no less remarkable are King's keen thoughtfulness and composure as he explores the contours of the gun-control issue and constructs his argument for what can and should be done.

Any additional comments?
I personally don't see how anyone (left or right wing) can argue with the logic Stephen Kings uses in this book. I would like to see this book passed out to everyone in our country, its a perspective on gun control that could save a lot of lives without taking away our right to bear arms.

Historia
In the late summer of a long-ago year, Alton Turner Blackwood brutally murdered four families. His savage spree ended only when he himself was killed by the last survivor of the last family, a fourteen-year-old boy. Half a continent away and two decades later, someone is murdering families again, re-creating in detail Blackwood’s crimes.

Very Boring
Revisado: 01-15-11
I have always been a fan of Dean Koontz but this book was terrible. There was barely any dialog, it consisted almost entirely of the characters thinking and dreaming. I stuck it out to the end but it never improved, My sister couldn't make it past the first half. I miss his more exciting books like Phantoms, Lighting, Mr. Murder, Watchers and so many others. The first Odd Thomas book was good but after that they also became less dialog and too much introspection. Pass on this one, save your credit.

Loved it!!
Revisado: 01-08-11
You can't go wrong with this audiobook. From the beginning to the end it's a great story (actually two stories in one) and the narrator is amazing, he brings the characters to life. Mr. King, do us all a favor and please go back through that box and dust off a few more of these stories that you weren't sure were good enouth because you were so wrong about this one.

Historia
This novel by Carl Hiaasen, author of Tourist Season and Native Tongue, begins as most thrillers do, with a killing. But this is no everyday, hum-drum, garden variety killing. Our hero, Nick Stranahan, a 42-year-old private investigator who has killed five men and been married five times, skewers his attacker's aorta with the razor-sharp bill of a stuffed marlin.
