I enjoyed this story and will continue with the series. the characters were great, the world building ok. I still have unanswered questions and it took a little too long to get to the point of the story for me. but good characters will keep me coming back.

If you are used to the normal irreverent romance from Eve this is a little different but SO good!
An assassin and Barbarian king together with action, romance, and comedy; what's not to love?!
The only constructive criticism I have is that the ending felt slightly rushed and I would've liked a little more explanation on the magic and creatures "return" and meaning. But those are probably for the next book. *fingers crossed* (Does not end in a cliffhanger, thank goodness!)
