Historia
When the enslaved Jim overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, separated from his wife and daughter forever, he decides to hide on nearby Jackson Island until he can formulate a plan. Meanwhile, Huck Finn has faked his own death to escape his violent father, recently returned to town. As all readers of American literature know, thus begins the dangerous and transcendent journey by raft down the Mississippi River toward the elusive and too-often-unreliable promise of the Free States and beyond.

Incredible insight from the point of view of a slaver
Revisado: 03-05-25
The book was so well read! It switched back-and-forth from slave language to regular English addiction. It was very intriguing. A lot of it was hard to hear and hard to read, but this is our history.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Lots of vignettes and mini life stories about people with the things they deal with in the hard times we have in life. We all have at some point whether we have money or not

Audible Fan

I love listening to audible! It gives me a little bit of non-reality during some days that are a little too much reality. I own my own business and it gets pretty hectic so it's just a good way for me to start off the day and enjoy some great stories while I'm exercising. Thank you audible!

Revisado: 02-24-17
I have read and listened to this healing book of guidance at least 5 times and highly recommend it to all. It helps me clear negative thought patterns and immediately turns my thought patterns about life and money to positive. I have opened many doors and windows with more to come!!!
