Historia
Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you'll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever.

What if..only the good cld float to the surface...
Revisado: 11-11-15
This book reminds me of people who have been married for many years, and the "spark" has gone out. When you've forgotten why you fell in love , why you decided "for better or for worse, and really meant it"...A lot of people are in that exact predicament, and it can be heartbreaking even after many years, people just become bitter and calloused after time, children, bills ,stress...ext,ext....
This story is about 'what if'.... what if you forgot all the reasons you've become bitter, angry, and resentful with your spouse? What happens when you only remember the love you once had. you only remember the dreams you shared with that person?
This book, I'm my opinion is very deep, and I will definitely listen again. I've also asked my husband of 19 years to listen to it- that's how much this book touched me...
Even if you are not in that situation, it is still a wonderful book. Narration was good, and if your like me, and like the book to move right along, it does...
Also, its not just 1 story line. There are a couple other peoples stories in there too that are definitely relevant. The story is intricately woven...1st you see 1 side with all its emotions, then you see the other side-with all different emotions...then you see ALL sides, and your mind changes yet AGAIN, but it all comes together and is right. quite the emotional rollercoaster ride (which we resist, but LOVE in the end LOL)
I really enjoyed this book, and it wasn't something I would normally pick out. If you give it a go, you wont be disappointed :0)

Very Engaging
Revisado: 11-11-15
This story was very engaging the entire time. The author didn't lag to get to the point and story line. There was not a single dull moment at all. It made me want to "read"/listen to it all in one day. I still finished it in two days. I mean, I know its a good book when I listen at work, in the car, doing housework....sooo yeah, you could say I was a bit engaged LOL
There are parts that can be difficult to listen to, especially if you have endured and been through abuse of some kind- but the author described the "trauma" scenes in a very tasteful way- not too many details. I mean, because we can get the point without having to "feel" the pain ourselves right?
Also, the narration was great in my opinion... really great. I would actually look for more books narrated by Rachel Atkins.
Anyways, I would recommend this book for sure... Thanks for stopping by and reading my review :0)

Historia
It is the spring of 1802, and the village of Paradise is still reeling from the typhoid epidemic of the previous summer. Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner have lost their two-year-old son, Hannah’s half brother Robbie, but they struggle on as always: the men in the forests, the twins Lily and Daniel in Elizabeth’s school, and Hannah as a doctor in training, apprenticed to Richard Todd. Hannah is descended from healers on both sides - one Scots grandmother and one Mohawk - and her reputation as a skilled healer in her own right is growing.

Historia
Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack of quotidian minutiae is a letter addressed to Harold in a shaky scrawl from a woman he hasn’t seen or heard from in twenty years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye.

In the spring of 1708, an invading Jacobite fleet of French and Scottish soldiers nearly succeeded in landing the exiled James Stewart in Scotland to reclaim his crown. Hauntingly romantic
Revisado: 04-23-15
Would you listen to Mariana again? Why?
I have listened to this book twice in a 2 week period. It was SO good and I didnot want it to end. This is definately a book you will need to pay close attention to or you will miss something. The 1st time I read it, I was on vacation, so my mind was not fully invested in the details of the story as I was distracted. But the ending had me whirling, So I went back and listened attempting to gather all of the smaller details that I had missed.
What did you like best about this story?
All of it! It was beautifully written.
Have you listened to any of Carolyn Bonnyman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this is my 1st. She did a wonderful job. Her voice is very nice to listen to. I am used to listening to Davina Porter from the Outlander series, and she is wonderful. Carolyn Bonnyman has a very delicate voice and did the female character voices very nice. The mens voices however, wern't as good simply because her voice is very feminine. She still did a good job though.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, but if I write about it, this review will become a spoiler, and this is a book that needs the element of surprise. What's the fun in a mystery if the surprise is gone? :)
Any additional comments?
If you listen to this book, you wont be disappointed. Also,This is the 1st book review that I have written, so that alone tells you that I thoughouly enjoyed it!
