Definitely Relentless...and inspirational!

First of all, I knew Julian was special. I just didn't know how special. This book was great and absolutely inspirational. As most sports books - it has that great American story. But really it is about hard work and dedication. It as honest and refreshing and I literally felt like I was listening to him directly. The reader was great! I am now an even bigger fan of Julian! Wishing him on his personal journey well!!!! Beautiful!

Beautiful Book!

I was not expecting this book to be so touching and lovely! I am a yoga teacher and it was amazing to learn that Gisele is really a yogi! :) Her story is great and it was really a nice listen. I enjoyed every minute. As a HUGE Tom Brady fan, I can now say I am a HUGE Gisele fan!

Perfect "Pep Talk"!!!

Just found Dre's podcast. I've listened to almost all if not all of the heavy hitters podcasts available in every genre from fitness, nutrition, business, etc. for the last 5-6 years. Dre's is definitely in the big leagues. But what I truly appreciate about his style is the authenticity and down to Earth vibe. He's doesn't have a "radio voice or persona". He's straight up. This book was perfect for me at the most perfect time. Listened to it right before I was doubting myself heading into a dance competition. This book was an instant reminder why I need to step up and focus on my game! I purchased the entire audio collection and enjoy the daily podcasts. Thanks for sharing your gift with me! God Bless you Dre! Hope to shake your hand in Miami one day! (My home away from home).

I really enjoyed this book, it was a bit difficult towards the end to wrap my mind around the reverse dates - storytelling and it would be interesting to listen again now knowing the ending. Really enjoyed the narrator. Good book! Up there with Gone Girl or Girl on the Train.

Title should be "Dissecting the Origins of the New Testament"

Not for the faint in faith! But complementary to any true student of religion, human relations, psychology, politics and theology. The Professor is knowledgable and thorough. The title is a tad misleading. Thought it would focus more on the message of the New Testament. The audiobook Old Testament was more detailed in that respect to include dissecting the origins. It was for both religion and theological approach - probably the difference was that Professor is a Jewish believer. With that said, this Professor was very professional in his course and did not give a personal opinion or suggest anything one way or the other. Very fact focused and who cannot appreciate that. Very interesting data and will assist me in a better platform for reading scripture as a believer. Understanding that the words of God may not be conveyed in our bible exactly as we'd hope it to magically be. Takes a mature person to understand religious beliefs and take the wisdom from it. I'm a believer of the gospel. But do find peace in the ideology of human nature to improve upon or reconstruct a message to better appeal or to better control humankind. As a business leader we do the same for our corporation to thrive. In any event, felt like a pretty good 101 course. Not at all inclusive in its information but a good enough book to add to your studies.

Love Aziz! More of Research Book!

What I love about this book immediately is that Aziz is the narrator! His voice and how he is able to use it appropriately throughout this book is in itself a character! The book is more of a research book. He did his research and it was fun and fascinating! He added some great personal POV every now and then, as well as his experiences. It was really a well done book! Would have been fun to see it as a documentary with him traveling and such! This book was not distasteful or raw comedy in any way. It was seriously conveyed with humor. Definitely a cool book. Aziz is pretty awesome! Enjoyed!!!!

Painful!

I am not sure what I expected to be honest. But this was not a pleasure listen at all. I cannot really articulate what was wrong with it. I forced myself to listen to it. The writer who also was the narrator, did a good job - her voice was pleasant so I kept at it. I was hoping for maybe more of a thought provoking read. Perhaps this was not the writer's intention. She focused on the meaning of Spinster from the days were women married or lived in boarding houses. She had some stories of her life in relation to that of the past and it was all just a blur really. Again, I am not sure what the intention of the book was from the writer's perspective. But it was like I was reading the very boring diary and personal reflections of my co-worker who I have no personal interest in getting to know from that level. I am not a fan of writing bad reviews...this is just my perspective! I hope someone else enjoys it and "gets" it. I may just have missed the point!

Inspirational & a little Cheesy!

This book was pretty good! It starts off a bit cheesy. Shonda Rhimes has an over the top personality in relation to her creative processing, it works extremely well in her TV shows, a bit much in speech or lecture. But once you settle into HER, you begin to enjoy her. She is very passionate about her work and it is very evident. You begin thinking about your own passions. Should you be as passionate as Shonda Rhimes. Um...maybe and maybe not! She is very creative and you get that throughout. It makes total sense why she is able to procure such great work. But outside of that, it is really inspiring to learn of her as a woman and a minority at that her persistence and abilities to strive for her dreams! Her life at times sounds overwhelming and exhausting! I felt burned out just listening. But it was a great story and I have a new found perspective of the shows I love, like Scandal. It was cool to learn more about the writer and producer and creator that is Shonda Rhimes! A side of show biz that you never see as a normal person. Overall, pretty cool! Great for new college grads, young girls, exhausted women, writers...enjoyed! A one-time listen but it was worth it. By the end I had enjoyed the collection!
