Rough to listen to...
Revisado: 06-17-19
This book goes back and forth -- and the descriptions are pretty chaotic.
I know it is futuristic, but it is still tough to understand -- I just couldn't get beyond the concept that apps are actually downloaded into a person's brain and then surgery needs to be done to remove anything. A lot beyond my comfortability.

Now it's on Stephanie to track down the con man. Unfortunately, Cubbin has disappeared without a trace, a witness, or his money-hungry wife. Typical, Wonderful Evanovich!
Revisado: 01-29-13
Would you listen to Notorious Nineteen again? Why?
I love listening to stories about Stephanie Plum -- but I don't like listening more than once. This book is no exception.
The plot is simple and funny -- but once I have listened, I already know what is happening. Time to move on!
Would you recommend Notorious Nineteen to your friends? Why or why not?
Many of my other friends enjoy Evanovich -- thus I recommend all whenever I read or listen. Stories of this kind help to take the pressure off the end of the day, driving home -- and this is good!
I typically like driving while listening -- and all of a sudden the trip is not so long. Perfect!
What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Lorelei King does a great job of performing the characters. She typically reads stories from Evanovich -- I would expect no difference! The vitality that she brings to the characters is enigmatic!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No -- I like to listen to these kind of books across time -- It is easy to pick up after I have been involved in other projects. The material is light and easy to pick up where you left off.

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

What did you love best about Shadow of Night?
Shadow of Night continues with the relationship in the first book -- I love the interaction between these two characters -- and look forward to anything else Harkness writes!

Historia
I have been standing on the side of life, watching it float by. I want to swim in the river. I want to feel the current. So writes Mamah Borthwick Cheney in her diary as she struggles to justify her clandestine love affair with Frank Lloyd Wright. Four years earlier, in 1903, Mamah and her husband, Edwin, had commissioned the renowned architect to design a new home for them.

Amazing Story!

If you could sum up Loving Frank in three words, what would they be?
Great portrayal.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mamah was amazing -- I grew to love her and what she was experiencing. I had the sense that the author had done an incredible job on researching and then coming up with how things must have happened. Thank You Nancy Horan -- It is no wonder this book is a best seller and was talked about when I visited Taliesin West a couple of years ago.

Historia
At last, together in one collection, are Lisa Scottoline's wildly popular Philadelphia Inquirer columns. In her column, Lisa lets her hair down, roots and all, to show the humorous side of life from a woman's perspective. The Sunday column debuted in 2007 and on the day it started, Lisa wrote, "I write novels, so I usually have 100,000 words to tell a story. In a column there's only 700 words. I can barely say hello in 700 words. I'm Italian."

Not worth much

What would have made Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog better?
I guess I like her stories better -- the short pieces were just not worth listening to.
