Superb writing
Revisado: 10-08-18
This novel was written very well. Imagery and detail was fantastic. The plot was intriguing. The problem I had was the ending. I understand with historical fiction that you can’t change the facts, but the ending seemed very disjointed and abrupt. I had trouble connecting with the main character as well. She seemed very cold and uncaring throughout the novel.

Historia
When they were growing up, Dana, Harper, and Tawny thought of themselves as “sometimes sisters". They connected only during the summer month they’d all spend at their grandmother’s rustic lakeside resort in north Texas. But secrets started building, and ten years have passed since they’ve all been together - in fact, they’ve rarely spoken, and it broke their grandmother’s heart.

Loved it!
Revisado: 09-04-18
I am not usually a mushy romance book kind of person, but this one had just the right amount! I loved Dana, Harper and Tawny and Brooke! It was so easy to cheer them on. Harper’s story, oh my! I cried and cried as her story came out and the way tenderness was shown to her by some of the other characters. This novel is an easy, great read for a rainy afternoon. I highly recommend it!

Disappointing
Revisado: 07-02-18
I was really disappointed in this third novel. It was dark and depressing. Even the end was dreary. Also, I really had an issue imagining the characters being so young from start to finish. As the story unfolded I pictured them much older. It even got uncomfortable when talking about marriages and relationships with ones so young.
