Although I have read this book many times, love the story, and the author Tiffany Patterson...I'm having a hard time listening to the audible.
The female narrator's voice is adequate, but it's not great.
I feel there's too much unnecessary inflection( The way her voice goes up after each sentence)when she speaks. It's too breathy.
I had a hard time understanding what she was saying. The male narrator wasn't much better.
I feel they could have gotten 2 better narrators for this story.

Let me start off by saying I love all Tiffany Patterson's work and stories.
I felt the male narrator did a decent job, but the female narrator was way too breathy and with very little inflection. It was hard to keep listening to her. I think it's really important when you're near it to find a pair that compliment each other. These 2 did not.

I really loved this book, but I have to say it is very frustrating to have a part one of a 2 book story and then the audible just stops after the first book! There are 4 books in this set and you've only made 1!
I need the rest of the books.

This is really good book and the narrators are good .
What really gets me about this book is how Kora cannot seem to keep from asking the same questions of Sergy, a man she knows has ties to organized crime! Duh!!!
In every book in this series, the women want to know what her man is doing when he's not with her.
The character in this particular book is supposed to be a woman of color and I cannot believe a sister would keep asking her man that same stupid question! UGH!

It amazes me how my favorite books by my favorite authors are sometimes slaughtered when they get to audible! Very few narrators can do the opposite sex voices and this woman woman cannot! She's great on the other female voices & her accents are wonderful!
This is a book with 2 POVs. Tell me why? Why ?! Why can they not get a man and a woman to narrate? Are they too cheap?! I still would advise buying the audible It's a great story by a great author so you will enjoy the storyline. The narration...meh.

Let me preface this review by saying I love Tiffany Patterson's books! I have read all her books and this series I have read multiple times because I love it so much.
It was an injustice to do this to this book. The narrator, while he doesn't have a bad voice, is not capable of multi voices. He cannot do a believable female voice or distinguishing voices between the other characters!
I really want to buy the other books in this series but unless you get 2 good narrators.. I'll save my money!
