Historia
Molly Harper brings her signature "clever humor, snark, silliness, and endearing protagonists" ( Booklist) to the charming small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia with the new Southern Eclectic series. Carl and Marianne were high school sweethearts, loving the way only teenagers can - with no thought to logic or pride, just a bone-headed, optimistic frenzy of unicorns and hormones. That was all they needed. Or so Carl thought. Scared of being stuck in Lake Sackett, Georgia, like so many of her friends, Marianne panicked and bolted....

Love Molly Harper!
Revisado: 12-01-18
I really liked the whole story line. It was believable, something I could see happening in the town I live in. And the narration was spot on, easy to listen to, made you feel like you were in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a feel good book.

This is the story of Gus losing himself, finding himself, and healing along the way. "The honest-to-God truth is I don't even know how to function anymore. Bright Side wasn't only my best friend, she was like my other half - the other half of my brain, the other half of my conscience, the other half of my sense of humor, the other half of my creativity, the other half of my heart. How do you go back to doing what you did before when half of you is gone forever?"

Revisado: 05-12-18
I love Kim Holden! Have now read two of her books, both from the same series but both are also stand alone books. She makes me laugh, cry, think and learn. Her books are real life and Alex Kydd and Lidia Dornet just made the characters come to life! All around great book, hated finishing it.

Historia
Kate Sedgwick's life has been anything but typical. She's endured hardship and tragedy, but throughout it all she remains happy and optimistic (there's a reason her best friend, Gus, calls her Bright Side). Kate is strong willed, funny, smart, and musically gifted. She's also never believed in love. So when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with Keller Banks.

Never did I expect the way the story ended!
Revisado: 05-10-18
One of the best books I’ve ever listened to! The characters were so very believable and true. The narration was incredible. I really felt like I was part of the story. The whole thing was believable. Did not expect the ending at all. The story had true life lessons.

Horrible Narrator!
Revisado: 12-03-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I think I might have liked the story but I could not get past the sound of the narrator
Would you recommend Reunited to your friends? Why or why not?
to possibly read but not listen to due to the narrator
How could the performance have been better?
A different narrator! The way she tried to change the characters voices was horrible! Just listening to any of the story at all was extremely hard.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I read the first book of the series narrated by the same person and I had a very hard time getting past the narrator's voice but the story was good, I really did not realize this was the same narrator or I never would have purchased it.
Any additional comments?
I would love to read the book as I think it was probably a good story, However, due to an eye sight problem I can no longer read, that is why I do the audible. I have wrote the narrators name on a "do NOT buy" list. I have a list of narrators that I will buy nearly everything they have done and a list of narrators never to listen to again

Narrator bad! Reads way too fast!
Revisado: 11-26-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I am sure the story was probably good. What I heard sounded like it was going to be a good story. However, the narrator read so fast that I couldn't keep up. She seemed to be able to change the tone of her voice so that you would know the difference in characters and at times she would slow down to normal to tease you into thinking you were going to get a good read. And then, she started 'flying' again. So much so that you weren't able to understand the story. I will never buy a book that she narrates again.
What do you think your next listen will be?
The Duchess Wars by Courtney Milan
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It was like she was speed reading. No time to absorb what was happening.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger and disappointment at the narrator. Don't know about the story. I am going to try to read the book as what I was able to get out of what I listened to, I think it will be a story that I like.
Any additional comments?
So disappointed. Was looking forward to this. I have eye trouble so I am hoping I will be able to 'read' the book.

Love Julie Garwood books.
Revisado: 11-12-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. The story is good. Very enjoyable. Very believable.
What other book might you compare The Wedding to and why?
The Bride
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
She did ok - just not as good as some of the other narrators of Julie's (especially Roslyn Landor). Ms Landor was sooooo wonderful in The Bride! I have listened to it many times. It is my 'go to' book when I don't know just what I want but know I want a really good, fun read.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh a few times. I had a hard time with the narration of the main male characters voice.
Any additional comments?
Would buy this again if Roslyn Landor would do the narration!

Narrator makes you go to sleep.
Revisado: 11-12-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The narrator. The voices of the different characters were hard to tell apart. She does not do male voices well. It would be better if she didn't try sounding male.
Would you be willing to try another book from Melody Anne? Why or why not?
The story was pretty repetitive. She drug it out too long. It wasn't real to the world.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
She really needs to work on her male voices and she also needs to add a little, not be so bland sounding.
Was Surrender (Volume 1) worth the listening time?
No.

Love, love, love this book - the whole series!
Revisado: 04-03-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, but I would suggest she read the series in order. This is book 2 in the series. Maya Banks is such a good writer. I love and HAVE all her highlander books. Kirsten Potter is one of the best narrators that I have every listened to. She gives each character their own sound. She has one of the best scottish burrs!
What did you like best about this story?
Everything! . She describes everything so well that I felt like I was there or at least was watching a movie.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Aleric took Kaylee to the rock by the sea when she was so sick. I cried through the whole scene.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did - twice!
Any additional comments?
I love most all highland love stories. I love alpha men, which highlanders seem to be. They are such strong characters, they love their woman so deeply yet they don't let their love make them less strong. It only enhances their personalities. I hated when it ended, I wanted it to go on and on.

Narrator is horrible!
Revisado: 04-03-13
If you could sum up The Husband Trap in three words, what would they be?
I think it is probably a good story but the narrator is so bad that it makes it very, very hard to pay attention to the story line. I am going to buy the books in the series (The wife trap, The Wedding Trap, The Husband Trap) because what I have been able to listen to of The husband trap seems to be a very good story.
What did you like best about this story?
I like the characters - both Violet and Adrian. They both seem to be such good people, loving, caring, good hearted and meant for each other.
How could the performance have been better?
The narrator is so bad, she makes both characters sound like such horrible snobs and the other voices are so bad that it is very distracting. You can be a snob without sounding so bad. Even when they seemed to be saying something nice it came out sounding bad. Also, between chapters there is a long pause, long enough that you think it has stopped - very annoying.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Couldn't get far enough into the book because of the narrator. Was only able to get to the fourth or fifth chapter and only that far because I forced myself. I thought maybe I could get used to the narrartor but I can't.
Any additional comments?
I was really looking forward to all 3 of these books and I will get them to read on my Kindle Fire as the stories sound so good, I've had trouble with 1 or 2 other narrators but never bad enough that I could not get through the book. I will never buy another book that she narrates, no matter how good the story sounds.

What did you love best about The Bride?
The whole story
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jamie - cause she was so fun!
Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Love, love, love Rosalyn Landor. She makes you feel like you're right there. I've now bought a couple books just cause she's the narrator.

I did listen to this book in one sitting. My husband said he though my wear phones had become part of me! I listened while I cleaned house, did laundry, took a bath and sewed. It was wonderful!
Any additional comments?
