The story beats are driven in a very obvious manner The hero is a knowledgeable but receives aid from people who can teach him everything The hero needs money and always keeps seeming to find it. he is the chosen one and so things just line up The struggle seems to be non-existent for him and there's nothing for me to be invested in the character's growth

Bad cliches

The author uses the worst of Sci-Fi cliches. The service members get wounded and hung out to dry the MC has a "Deep Rage" and the people that know don't bother to leave him anyway to learn. because in the far flung future letters are impossible... People with training seem to ignore it for it later to become a convenient plot point and people without training use magic memories to suddenly get on par... because we know if you watched a youtube video once you can now do kung fu

It's slow and obvious.

The story starts out strong enough, but it just becomes painful to try and finish. The heroes keep quitting, they ignore the obvious course of action and sometimes it feel like they do the things they do just so the writer could continue the story.
