Historia
Back in the Eighties, Mickey DeFalco was America's teenage heartthrob with spiky gelled hair, slanted sideburns, and a number-one hit single - "Sweet Days" - a sappy love song he wrote after his high school sweetheart, Lynn Mahoney, broke his heart. Now approaching middle age, Mickey is lucky to land a singing gig at a bar mitzvah. So the one-hit wonder-boy is making a different kind of comeback - returning to his old stomping grounds in Queens, living with his parents, and sleeping in his childhood bed. Just like in high school.

The 5 star narration MADE this book
Revisado: 05-20-18
Even if the character of Lynn sounded a little like Linda from Bob’s Burgers.
A bittersweet and unique story unlike anything out there. Hard to put this one in a specific genre.

Michelle, you nailed it
Revisado: 05-20-18
I wish you were still here. Selfishly, so I could consume more of your books.
The chapters pieced together after her passing were an adequate end, but I missed her writing.
I was captivated by the way she made the victims and law enforcement come off the page and feel like the real people that they are.

Historia
In his newest collection of essays, David Sedaris lifts the corner of ordinary life, revealing the absurdity teeming below its surface. His world is alive with obscure desires and hidden motives, a world where forgiveness is automatic and an argument can be the highest form of love. Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim is another unforgettable collection from one of the wittiest and most original writers at work today.

Not his best, but still very good
Revisado: 05-20-18
There’s a few spectacular stories here, but not my favorite when compared to his other books. Must listen: 6 to 8 black men

Historia
Tom Perrotta's thirtysomething parents of young children are a varied and surprising bunch. There's Todd, the handsome stay-at-home dad dubbed "The Prom King" by the moms of the playground; Sarah, a lapsed feminist with a bisexual past, who seems to have stumbled into a traditional marriage; Richard, Sarah's husband, who has found himself more and more involved with a fantasy life on the Internet than with the flesh and blood in his own house; and Mary Ann, who thinks she has it all figured out.

Distracting sounds
Revisado: 01-07-15
There was an entire chapter of nose whistling sounds with every inhalation that almost made me quit listening! Unfortunately that's my biggest takeaway from this.
