Moores has crafted a well-researched (notes included) tale of adventure and heroism set in one of the darkest periods of our Nation's past. Within, he intricately weaves real persons and events with a tale of the fantastic. Stretching from the sinking of the Governor, to the Lost Colony, to the Battle of New Orleans, Special Unit 'M' charges the field to put an end to an evil that is as vile as they come.
Pick this one up, you will not be disappointed!
Side note, this story recently won Best Historical Fiction Novel at Imaginarium Con 2022.

Sometimes it's great to go back and listen to a series over again. I love the Dresden Files, and James Marsters IS Harry Dresden, period. The only reason I will dock a point on the performance is the speech gaps and slight pronunciation errors in the early books, but for the life of me there is no other person I can mind-canon as voicing Harry.

I'm a late-comer to this series, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Obviously the first work, given the lack of contractions in the writing, but forgivable, since the story is that good.
