Unnecessary homosexual elements
Revisado: 01-08-25
I find it sad that the majority of these stories contain homosexual interpersonal relationships. Even in stories where the main characters aren’t, there seems to be a requirement to mention a homosexual relationship totally irrelevant to the story. Absolutely unnecessary.
In addition, many of the stories just stop…..no resolution of any kind. What’s the point? Would not recommend this collection.

Historia
The victims are all found face-down in the murky waters of the creek that runs through Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee. They are naked, except for the black satin ribbon tied around their necks. And each murdered woman shares a single characteristic... they are all redheads... Socialite Reve Sorrell has come to Cherokee Pointe seeking answers about her family history and her shocking connection to wrong-side-of-the-tracks Jazzy Talbot. With their stunning good looks and shining red hair, the two are mirror images of each other—twins abandoned at birth and raised in very different worlds.

Good story
Revisado: 12-22-23
The story was good with two exceptions. First, there are whole lot of names to try to remember. I guess, if you listen to it all at one time, you may have a better chance of keeping them straight. But listening to it a little at a time can get confusing. Second, the sex is unnecessary graphic. The story is one that my mother would like but I’d be embarrassed to look her in the face if I were to recommend it to her.

Excellent
Revisado: 03-21-23
Story is really intriguing although it has one part that dead’s a bit. Narration is excellent and even has voice inflections on the chapter numbers which are a bit humorous if you pay attention to them.

Orphaned at birth, Oliver Twist is born into the grimmest of 19th century English workhouses with a life of grinding poverty ahead of him. But the boy is a fighter and after being evicted from the workhouse for asking for 'more' and surviving a stint as an undertaker’s assistant, he walks many miles to London and finds a whole new life with a gang of young pickpockets led by the Artful Dodger and their guardian Fagin.

Uneven
Revisado: 02-09-23
The story is a timeless classic and needs no further accolades from the likes of me.
The performance however, left a bit to be desired. While Oliver, Nancy and Rose were portrayed very well, Mr. Brownlowe’s accent was out of character. And, worst of all, at times the music and sound effects drowned out the narrative.
All in all a decent listen but don’t expect too much.

Historia
This gripping story of courage and achievement is the account of Robert Falcon Scott's last fateful expedition to the Antarctic, as told by surviving expedition member Apsley Cherry-Garrard. Cherry-Garrard, whom Scott lauded as a tough, efficient member of the team, tells of the journey from England to South Africa and southward to the ice floes. From there began the unforgettable polar journey across a forbidding and inhospitable region.

Informative and SCARY!
Revisado: 11-16-22
This is a story that every American should know but very few have actually heard of. The fact that an American city was the target of an attempted rogue nuclear attack should be known by everyone before they place another vote. We’ve been kept in the dark (whether wisely or not) for a long time because of the possibility of mass hysteria. But knowledge of this event should guide people’s choices in who they election to protect the citizens of this country as well as the safety of the world at large.

Historia
On October 12, 2000, at 11:18 a.m., an 8,400-ton destroyer, the USS Cole, was rocked by an enormous explosion. The ship’s commander, Kirk Lippold, watched as tiles tumbled from the ceiling, mugs of coffee tumbled to the floor, and everything not bolted down seemed to float in midair. Lippold knew in a matter of moments that the Cole had been attacked. What he didn’t know was how much the world was changing around him.

Revisado: 10-27-22
Anyone who loves things country and wants to know the whole story of the attack on the USS Cole should listen to the actual captain of the ship tell the story from beginning to end. This book also gives a true insight into how politics has far too must influence in the operations of our military and the war on terrorism.
