Translation issues
Revisado: 01-14-25
I don’t know if the writing in the original language was not top notch or if the translation was poorly done, but there were frequent poor descriptions or repetitious use of words close together that detracted from full immersion in the story. Even wrong words (prostate should be prostrate).
Several post production editing errors causing sentences to be repeated.
Still, an enjoyable read light enough to entertain when one needs a break from intense stories.

Historia
Hostility has formed over the centuries. It's grown with each hunt, each capture, and each death. It's been magnified at each effort to thwart global dominion over those unable to defend against the advance of a ruthless tyrant who won't rest until the entire world is full of those who exist solely to do his will. Circumstances have prevented outright warfare - until now.

The ending doesn't work
Revisado: 06-01-24
I was so disappointed in the last chapters. The author tied up loose end very poorly, as if he was ticking off a list of items that needed to be finished in a rush.
Starting with the final weapon, which I hated passionately, he told what should have been showed and foreshadowed previously. Each telling made me dislike the ending more and more; the stories had nothing invested in the by the characters like the rest of the book and this reader couldn't muster enough to continue caring about the events that lacked the emotional investments of the rest of the books.
Yet, he didn't tie up all the loose ends after all. . . what about Ambrosia?
Profoundly unsatisfying ending.

Historia
Noah didn’t expect much from entering the virtual reality world of Asgard’s Fall. Even the danger of the experimental full immersion technology didn’t put him off. It beat living in a nursing home, and it was supposed to let him feel young again...at least until modern medicine and his body gave out. But there was something wrong with Asgard’s Fall. Most of the time, the “gods” running the game didn’t act like AIs were supposed to. Some of the players took things too seriously, like they knew something about the game that Noah didn’t.

I was as lost as the MC and never caught up
Revisado: 04-03-24
Being based on gaming, this was not my normal read. Obviously the recitations of player's status was important but it was all Greek (pun intended) to this non-player. I could not glean enough from the context to understand the significance. Accordingly, while the characters were well written and the story was somewhat engaging, it was not enough for this reader to continue the series. I simply could not stay engaged in a potentially interesting world because I could not understand the way it worked.
