It's getting better.
Revisado: 04-29-20
I took a chance on this because the price was good and I needed something new to listen to while working on papers. I've waited to start reviewing these chapters (really wish it were all in one rather than separated like this) until I'd gotten a few into it so I could get an appropriate feel for the story. It's different. Not quite a "cold case files" type story, but not too far off. The first couple of chapters are a bit dry, but I highly recommend you hang in there as the story gets better as you go. Well done to the creators.

Historia
University student Anna Winslow, has gone missing. The circumstances of her disappearance are far from ordinary, a fact that only fellow student Melissa Lopez appears to appreciate. Motivated by an unexplained and disturbing voicemail message from Anna, on the night of her disappearance, Melissa's curiosity quickly turns into a deeper investigation, an obsession even, which she chronicles as a regular podcast — the very podcast you are about to listen to.

Historia
Working at a dead-end retail job in the middle of nowhere can be hard. The long hours. The helpless customers. The enormous eldritch horror living deep below the building. As the only full-time employee at the 24 hour gas station at the edge of town, Jack has pretty much seen it all. But when he decides to start an online journal documenting the bizarre day-to-day occurrences, he unwittingly attracts the attention of much more than just a few conspiracy theorists.

Captivating
Revisado: 04-28-20
I'm not typically one to write reviews (I know, I know), but after listening to this series (books 1 & 2 both), I've made an exception. Mr. Townsend is quickly becoming one of my top 5 favorite authors. Tales From the Gas Station is a captivating series that twists in ways that are unexpected. It's a journey I plan to take again and again as I eagerly await the next installment, and I encourage you to do the same. Mr. CreepyPasta has cemented his place as the voice of Jack, in my mind. His narration is wonderfully done and I hope he continues to be the narrator for this series as it continues to expand (I do hope it continues... book 2 made it seem like there will be more)...

Phenomenal
Revisado: 04-28-20
The storyline itself is phenomenal, and Mr. Townsend is an amazing author. I very much look forward to the next installment. Mr. CreepyPasta is a wonderful narrator, but there were a few spots where there was an obvious difference in the audio quality. Otherwise, this is a purchase I am glad I made.
