One of the best Military Sci-Fi series

I have listened to the entire series several times now and have never gotten bored with the characters, story line, or narration. Even the short side/filler stories are solid and answers questions you might have.
Recommend listening to his "Jump Universe" and "Rita Longknife" series to get the backstory.
The world building is well developed and very consistent across all four series. The humor is spot on and not over-the-top at any point.
I usually plug in Vicky Peterwald "Target" after book 9 "Daring", "Rebel" after book 13 "Unrelenting", "Dominator" and after book 14 "Bold" since they mesh well together. Admiral Santiago series is more-or-less stand-alone but plug in well after book 12 "Tenacious"
If I have any criticism It would the use of 'he' said 'she' said method of changing character focus. Enjoy This id one of the best

If you know about SHTF senarios don't bother

I was eager to listen to this series, then it started. There are blatant technical errors through out the series, and then you get to the characters. There is friction, mistrust, paranoia, and jealousy in every page. no one trusts the other to have any competence, common sense, or empathy for more than a few minutes.

Had to stop listening

This was very interesting up through 1965 but when they told me that I must be using my time in the Air Force at Cam Ranh Bay as an excuse for PTSD, then give five minutes to the thousands of soldiers that tried to make a difference and forty-five to American war crimes. I couldn't take any more. someone let me know how it turned out. I obviously am using my fake diminished capacity and PTSD cloud my recollections.

Warning, don't listen to this in a meeting. Laughter will get you busted.
This series is the best combination of military Sci Fi and humor I have listened to so far. I don't do reviews but had to remark on this one. Read it, you'll love it
