Absolutely fantastic! Rooting for Frankie!

From the very beginning I found myself rooting for Frankie and it didn’t stop until the very last word. I learned quite a bit about a side of history I’ve never researched and it left me so hungry to know more. This is a fantastic book and I couldn’t stop listening!

Second best Audio Book I've listened to

The best Audio Book I have listened to lately is A Man Called Otto, but Project Hail Mary is a VERY close second! While listening I laughed out loud numerous times. My absolute favorite line in the whole book was "So you ... poked it with a stick?!" It was entertaining, unique, funny, horribly sad, and overall completely engaging. I fell asleep thinking about it and woke up eager to keep listening.

The best reminder that your life matters

This was one of the absolute best books I have read in a very long time. It is such a great reminder that our lives matter. We impact so many people on a regular basis, and we often lose sight of the number of people whom we can bless and whom bless us. This was just so good! I laughed out loud over and over again, I cried, I got excited, and I was sad. So many emotions!

Interesting but not gripping

This was an interesting story but it wasn’t gripping. I didn’t find myself yearning to find out what happens next. Some of it was a bit predictable but there are some unseen twists as well.

This story was just ok. It was slow and I found myself wanting things to speed up a little but overall it was a good story of how people can get stuck in a lifestyle and how hard it can be to get out of it.

I tried to give the narrator a chance

I don’t know if this was a low budget book or what, but even the mistakes made while narrating were left in the final cut. Words were pronounced incorrectly and the voices used for characters were … odd. I only stuck with it because my husband read the book on his kindle and thought I would enjoy this story. I feel for the author. His story is good and the narrator made it so dang hard to listen until the end.

Didn't see the end coming at all

I get frustrated with mystery / "who did it" books because I can almost always figure out the plot half way through the book. This book was different in that I had so many theories and couldn't land on any of them. But then the end ... it GOT me! I was so pleased with how this book was written. If you like to figure things out as a book goes along you must pay attention to every detail in this book!

Powerful

I have never been so emotional reading a book before. This book is perfect for the person who has experienced all kinds of difficulties in life.

It has reminded me of growing up Catholic, going to private school, childhood fears / struggles / expectations / failures. It has reminded me of being an advocate for my own child and trying to believe the best even while he struggled. It has reminded me of all the hardship we faced while taking care of our parents as they suffered with ailments that ultimately took their lives. It reminds me of the fragility of life and how emotional wounds can stick with you for years. And the story of friendship in this book is so extraordinarily powerful.

It’s a brilliant story of sacrifice and friendship at all the different phases of life. I absolutely loved this story.

Predictable but cute

It was pretty obvious from the get go how this would end, and what was meant to be a twist in the story was also relatively predictable. However, it was a cute story nonetheless.
