Great ending to a great series

The entire series kept me captivated. The author did a great job of progression while still making every fight feel like it could mean death. Characters were amazing with depth and nuances. The narration was also amazing. Overall great series I would recommend to anyone!

Amazing!

The entire story kept me on the edge of my seat! Many aspects were tied together so fluently that I realize I haven’t read a book with such cohesion and flow in a long time. The performance was spectacular with the voices being distinct and filled with emotions when necessary. This is a must read/listen and I’m already excitedly awaiting the next instalment!!

Surprisingly good

This book has a little bit of a flow issue. I’m not sure if it is the performance or the author but certain dialogue changes between characters are easy to miss. Overall the story and progression is good. I felt a connection with the characters, even those I disliked at the start. Even with the minor issues this is a great book for any fantasy reader!

Better but still not great

This book saw an uptick in the stakes and challenges Jason would face. It became very tiring to listen to Jason just steam roll everyone with his nonchalant attitude that actually made him unlikable for most of the last book and some of this book. He needed someone to tone his arrogance down and his penchant for immediate intimidation and violence to all problems. This doesn’t mean that he can’t be witty and funny but hopefully he is humbled to some degree and provides more careful consideration in how he treats others that are less powerful than himself.

Slow and somewhat repetitive

Overall the book was okay. It had moments where it shined and lots of moments that made me laugh. I’ve been waiting a while for Jason’s interactions with his family but didn’t much care for how it played out. The author spends too much time introducing magic to everyone. I feel like a few of them could have been skipped. Everyone also had the same reaction which was boring. It also feels like these new characters will be irrelevant in the next book but I can’t be certain. This was great opportunity to develop Jason’s character but feels like a missed opportunity.

the story and characters are great! there are a few flaws but they are very minor that u can easily miss or forget about them! overall it's an amazing book. the speaker has some voices that are almost humorous at times but does a decent job! on to the next one
